Us, too. Some of our happiest times as a couple, and with family and friends, have been spent both hunting and just riding in the mountains. With horses you can get really close to elk without them even noticing. I especially enjoyed it in the spring when the babies are born. They are so busy and noisy you can sneak right up in a herd with just a little cover. I almost got run over by a cow elk one time. Such fun. The Lord has really blessed man with nature.There is something in Elk that makes my system happy. Nothing like black powder hunting anywhere in the Rockies
