When one studies the Revelation of the Christ we must read carefully and consider the context it is written in. This, also, needs be done with a good deal of prayer, meditation and submission to the Holy Spirit. My studies, since 1990, lead me to agree with Hank Hannigraph, the Bible Answer Man at equip.org and on the radio.
Spirits, any of them, saved God, either have nor can they have extension in the Time/Space Continuum humans live in. Some will draw on the Angels accompanying Jesus when He supped with Abraham to disprove my statement and I have to say, good example except! God, the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit are without limit to what can be done.
Jesus/God gave those two angels bodies to do His work for His purposes. When we read the NT we find the possessed man breaking his bonds in the body of a man but Jesus expelled them and for understanding we need to study the Book of Job. No fallen angel can do anything without the permission of his or it's Maker. And in the case of the man we see the man. Likewise with the pigs, we see the pigs, not the Demons. They cannot, without God, do anything they wish.

Demons can be physical or spiritual, you would know I would have thought if you encounter one. Do not forget though, the devil is the master of lies and will try and deceive you at any costs.
