You know folks, the more I look at it the more I am beginning to think that the popular idea that the Jews will build a temple for the antichrist to profane,might not be true. There are some serious problems with the idea, one is, it is not biblical for Christ rejecting Jews to be able to build a temple that God would dwell in(that is a big one). Also, Paul did not use the common word for the temple building but Paul used the word that actually designated where God was. The word Paul used was also used in the NT to mean the church. Paul did not say that the antichrist would enter a building called the temple of God and proclaim himself to be god, Paul said the antichrist would go into the actually dwelling place of God and proclaim that he was god. Because this is mixed with the great forsaking of the faith it seems to imply much more than the profaning of a building called the temple of God. Any ideas on this one?

The likely frog meant here is was common in Egypt during Exodus (8:1-15), the [/FONT]Ptychadena mascareniensis, also known in English as the Mascarene rocket frog--- when disturbed, they leap into or away from the water, simultaneously expelling a jet of water from the bladder. Satanic power enabled Pharaoh's magicians to command these frogs (Ex 8:7).

These unclean spirits like frogs are Fallen Angels pretending to be UFO aliens, performing great signs to mislead the kings of the earth into waging a war against God Himself just as they did to Pharaoh (Ex 7:22). This war is described in Rev. 19:11-21.

Good observation.

I too believe the great delusion is a long standing thing. And yet today those that understand that great delusion are resisted when they speak of it to the world. They are often violently opposed and sought to be made silent in many different ways, including murder and imprisonment.

In Jesus day under the Old Covenant it was leaders under that Covenant that promoted that opposing by murders and imprisonments and what have you. Who do you suppose it is under the New Covenant that promote that opposing as foreshadowed by the then conclusion of that cosmos?

It is those under the same covenant as Christ's body. It is for that reason that the delusion sells to so many.

Acts 20:25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

The most ancient prophetical foreshadow is Ephraim and their spiritual fornication with the Kings of the earth. They as the shepherds of that ten-tribe kingdom led it into a false trust with the nations that eventually turned on them. Isaiah 28

I cannot say I agree that its THE mark. I believe it is a part of the whole belief system of the 'Antichrist'. I can say that I believe its a very intrinsic part of the 'delusion'. The strong delusion is so that they will believe what is "false". Paul dictates what is false in verse 9; "signs and wonders". But just the "rapture" alone will not be responsible for this.

The delusion itself will consist of a number of things, all having a "similar" appearance to what is true, but lacking the TRUTH. So in this way, we can understand that it will be a 'twisting' of the truths found in the Bible. The delusion will be directly related to what the Bible teaches PREDOMINANTLY, not obscurely, otherwise there would be no need in "strong" delusion.

Your right though, they will/are be/being easy dupes for the delusion; all of it. The process is already underway, so that when it is revealed once and for all, there will be a definitive line that separates truth from unrighteousness. At that point, people have made up their minds, and brings a call for the "endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus."

Without that "endurance", if it were possible, even the saints/elect would be deceived. But He has told us beforehand, so that we can know what is happening when it happens.

If one reviews the first 4 vials of God's wrath [Rev. 16:1-9], one can see that the mark of the beast is rec'd long before Satan, and his angels, are cast out from heaven. In fact, the entire purpose of the first 4 vials of God's wrath is to get those, who already have taken the mark of the beast, to repent. Undoubtedly, those 4 vials are directed at the church.

Hence, it becomes equally clear that the mark of the beast is not a bar code, computer chip, or other device installed by Satan's angels. All those theories are pure nonsense.

Therefore, it is fair to conclude that the mark of the beast consists of those false christian teachings, which will lead one to worship the Antichrist. Certainly, the rapture religion qualifies for the mark of the beast based upon their predominant teaching that Christ is the first to arrive on the scene to fly them away.

Another lesser sect of professed Christians that would qualify as having already taken the mark of the beast would be Preterists. It is my understanding that Preterism teaches that all endtime tribulation events have already taken place, except for the return of Christ. Hence, they will also be willing dupes when Satan, as the Antichrist, returns first.

I think it is important to distinguish between the 'delusion' of 2 Thes. 2:11 with the deception of the beast [Satan] of Rev. 12:9. The delusion of 2 Thes. 2:11 is a spirit of delusion from God given to rapturists, and other non-believing Christians, who were taught the Truth of God's Word and, thereafter, rejected it for their tradition-of-man religious beliefs that will have them worshipping Satan at the endtime. As you said, they will find a way to twist/ignore Bible Truth. Unfortunately, if they do not change their ways, they will earn a trip to the Lake of Fire.

Those martyrs are addressed in the fifth listed seal [Rev. 6:9-11], which is the first seal chronologically.

So, yes, if one considers the tribulation time to cover all seals, trumpets, and vials, we have already been in the tribulation time. However, if one considers the last week of Daniel 9 to be the endtime tribulation, we aren't quite there yet.
