What is the Strong Delusion? Extraterrestrial Designers seeded belief in God

Strong delusion from the scripture in thessalonians means believing a lie of which you are convinced is the Truth about God and Christ..

The victims of Strong Delusion are these Matt 7:

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

That lie, as Paul set forth in 2 Thes. 2, is regarding the return of Christ. Those rapturists, and other misguided Christians who think that Christ returns first, are the ones believing the lie. After being taught the Truth, those rapturists, and other misguided Christians, who reject the Truth [Satan returns first] for the lie, are given the spirit of delusion by God so that they will not be able to see Truth in order that they may be damned [2 Thes. 2:9-12].

Right. Notice what they said, in comparison to the truth. They thought it was about all these 'things', but neglected to see they were caught in the bond of "iniquity", aka -Lawlessness-

The strong delusion, simply put, is the compilation of all things that go against Christ's teachings. Its not 'one' specific thing, its a mixture. We can tell this from just a simple look at the original language and the fact that there is not a definite article that precedes "delusion".

So in other words, its not "the" strong delusion, it's "strong delusion". The difference can even be seen in the word used for delusion. Its the idea of "wondering around". It has no indication of being a focus on a specific idea.

They have no "leading" and do not want any leading, so therefore God gives them up to the desires of their heart. Its a repeat of what happened in the Exodus from Egypt.

They just simply fall prey to the false Christ. You have to remember, its not Christ followers that receive the delusion. Its everyone. And there are millions of people who are of different faiths who do not believe in Christ return who will receive this delusion sent by God.

So according to your thought process, the atheist who does not believe in the rapture will NOT receive the delusion. That is simply not true. The delusion is sent to everyone except true believers. So therefore it has to have a common thread amongst them all.

2Th 2:9-11 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing(not just false believers or 'Christians'), because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

Therefore God sends them("them" referring back to the previous sentence) a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Your post is a perfect example of the delusion of 2 Thes. 2:11. The contextual Truth set forth in 2 Thes. 2 is the timing of Christ's return -- nothing else. Since you reject that Truth for the lie, the spirit of delusion, given to you by God, causes you to convolute the context of Paul's teaching, which has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with "lawlessness".

:lol :toofunny :lol

It has everything to do with lawlessness. You do realize that there are different words for lawlessness right? You do understand that the context is wrapped around the "man of Lawlessness" right?

Paul is most definitely talking about Christs return, but you are still willfully neglecting to explain how people of different faiths will receive this "delusion" of the rapture when they do not even believe in Christ. So how is that?

You do realize, by your own admission, that I do NOT have the delusion you speak of.

I have rejected the idea of any "rapture" other than the one when He comes to gather His saints in the end. So how do you say that I have "the" delusion if I reject what you believe causes the delusion?:screwloose

Your funny.

I hate to break the news to you; but, there is no such thing as the 'rapture of the church' in the Bible manuscripts. 'Rapture' is a tradition-of-man religion making void the Word of Truth.

Well then, maybe I'll just tear 1st Thess 4 out of my bible..

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Now if you'd like to pretend that this doesn't say what it says or mean what it says then by all means enlighten me..

As mentioned, the rapture of the church of God (the dead in Christ first, and then those who are alive) is a biblical fact. It's the TIMING of this event which is often debated..

I have heard the word "rapture" used in a false way so many times that I like to call it the "gathering of the church by Christ", that may contain more words but it least it is right out of the bible.
Here is what I see as deception, the host lady on TBN was telling some poor person out there who had a little grocery money put back to take that money out and send it to them(to God she said).

A Marriage made in heaven...

I have heard the Lord's name used so often in vain, so maybe I shouldn't use it anymore ?

Call it what you want.. but it's a biblical fact that the church of God will be taken up (raptured, gathered) to meet the Lord in the air..

AND it's also a biblical fact that the marriage of the Lamb to His wife (which is the church of God) takes place in Heaven... according to Revelation 19... and then after that event of events we see them coming WITH Christ..

SO how did they all get up into Heaven for the marriage ?

Do you mean this one?
Rev 19v 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Did you willingly ignore the first portion of the chapter ?

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God...

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

I wouldn't be completely dogmatic about it.. although the sequence of events is the marriage of the Lamb and then the coming of Christ with those n fine linen following Him.

Rebekah

We also see a great story in Genesis concerning Abraham sending his eldest servant to find a bride for his only begotten son Isaac.. after the death of Sarah..

We can see from the story that Rebekah went to Isaac and they were married, not the other way around..

Thematic study of the scriptures is very important because it shows us many things in simple story form.. and we know that in the volume of the book it is written of Me..

Abraham is a picture of the Father..

Isaac is a type of the Son..

The eldest servant is a type of the Holy Spirit

Sarah is a type of Israel..

We also have the example of God giving eve to adam, but that doesnt seem to fit does it. The stealing away of the bride was never hebrew tradition, its chaldean. And we really wouldnt expect God to follow a tradition he didnt instuct from the git go would we. A marriage is a joining of man and wife. The marriage of the lamb is the joining of Christ with his church, on earth for the millinial Kingdom. Its not a meal in heaven. Those you see pictured returning with christ, is the souls of the marters ( see the fifth seal).

The very first event is the appearing of the antichrist(first seal),and the very first intervention by God is the gathering of the church. I think there is a reason that Revelation was given last,God wanted the church to realize that there was a coming antichrist and tribulation and then Christ return in the sky to gather the church before anything else. Apart from Revelation the New Testament taught the return of Christ to gather the church and that it would occur after the revealing of the antichrist and the tribulation.

So the NT & the Rev. NT differ? And you are posting a new teaching?? Eccl. 3:15 + Heb. 13:8-9

The OT & the NT including Rev. do not differ! You best post a retraction on that one! See Eccl. 3:14 & Rev. last couple Words of Warning!

Well that portion of scripture isn't there to tell us WHERE Christ and His bride are married, it's more along the lines of how the woman was taken from the man etc.. isn't that obvious..?

Now the story of Rebekah clearly tells us that Rebekah was taken to where Isaac was and that Isaac took her into his mothers tent.. and so we know that Isaac is a picture of Christ and we also know where Christ is.. and we know that the mother of us all is the Jerusalem which is above.

This makes sense to me because we also know that our citizenship is in heaven..

A couple of problems with that
1) there is no scripture to support it...
2) You are taking Rev out of context when you limet your study to the NT..
3) There is no scripture that points to any further return of the lord that is not on the day of the lord. In fact paul says in 1 thess 5v1-3 that the return (rapture) as described in 1 thess 4. is on the day of the lord.

Be not ignorant of this one thing..

It's also important to understand that the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ.. is a thousand years.. it's His rest and all those who trust in the promises of God will enter into that rest.. when He is King over all the earth in that Day..
