1Sa 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath the LORD
as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey
is better than sacrifice,
and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Isa 1:10 ¶ Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
Isa 1:11 - To what purpose
is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
Isa 1:12 - When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
Isa 1:13 - Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with;
it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Isa 1:14 - Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear
them.
Isa 1:15 - And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Isa 1:16 - Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Isa 1:18 ¶ Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isa 1:19 - If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isa 1:20 - But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken
it.
Amo 5:21 ¶ I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Jer 7:7 - Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
Sometimes it seems to me that Christians are most interested in Jews resuming blood sacrifices as a way of reinforcing the stereotype of Jews being blind and offensive to God. As Christians we should be charitable and accept that the OT has plenty of examples of what God really desires from His People, which today's Jews just might be acknowledging through their current restraint in abstaining from blood sacrifices.
Mar 12:28 ¶ And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
Mar 12:29 - And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments
is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mar 12:30 - And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this
is the first commandment.
Mar 12:31 - And the second
is like,
namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mar 12:32 - And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Mar 12:33 - And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love
his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mar 12:34 - And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him
any question.
