What's wrong with right wing politics you ask?

I wasn't talking about the military or the police. Those are internal US matters and don't concern me. I was referring to his economic policies. It was policies that were introduced by Reagan and continued by both Bushes and Clinton that lead to the economic crisis which had a domino effect that reached all over the world, including here in Iceland. It seems that many Republicans think that was all Obama's fault, even though it happened before he was even elected.

I don't. I know that he inherited a crap shoot. uhm. the housing idea was started by carter NOT regean. carter started the idea of fannie mae and it grew and grew.

I don't know about the particular bridges you have in mind, but one reason that comes to mind is that nothing lasts forever. Maybe they wanted a new bridge before the old one broke and somebody got killed.

The TOG
uhm, we had wooden bridged that were built in the 40s and maintained for decades until the last of them in 07. all built by the usn during the war time naval base here. those had to go as those were too narrow to used anymore as we couldn't just widen them easily. they were made of creasol. that I don't mind but when traffic to me doesn't support the construction of roads and bridges why build them? functional obselote means its ok and isn't in any danger just too old to widened. ie going from two lane to four lane. again if its for that that really needs it then lets do it. but a lot of the widening isn't needed.

good luck, crime pays if it didn't people wouldn't do it.
Why would someone buy them legally if they can get them legally?
what im saying is that most of the users that use drugs wont work. whom would support them?
Who supports them now?
and also whom would pay for that rehab. alcohol taxes are small compared to the costs of its abuse and its far worse then tobacco.
Who pays for it now? And taxes from the sales.

How much do you think it cost the taxpayer to first try and convict a user and then incarcerate them for years?
It really all depends on if there would be more users than there already are.

Let me reword that to be (imo) a little more realistic:

The right:
Let's delay that road that ordinary people need and use so that we can keep taxes low for the rich.

The TOG
im not rich but thanks to Obama I pay more. that amt thing. yup jewish family saved and put me and my siblings in a trust, therefore I will owe more under that.

when you WORK for yourself, you match yourself. I pay more because of that. while that aint new. but certain taxes do it hit me and the government doesn't care for expenses but income. if I make 2 trillion and spend all but one dollar below that then I will get TAXED for that 2 trillion. depending on deductions. I make too much for help with insurance. im taxed on my wifes social security disability.

Job creation and using up taxes they already collected so they can justify taking more.
It's common practice in departments in business. General management gives each department a yearly budget they have to function within. If that department doesn't use all they received for that year then the next year their budget is cut back. No department wants to have that happen Editso they figure out a way to use all the money. Been there done that.

I have paid for tools cash to avoid TAXES, mj in your state., its 27% higher for legal mj then illegal. if gas was taxed that much im sure you wouldn't like that.
uhm a smart man would sell it for 30 bucks and make a ton more.
im not fond of how we deal with users in prisons. I didn't mention my views on that.

but its still there even though its too soon. cars have been legal ever since and yet Miami has the highest case of the cubanos stealing engines and selling them on the black market and other parts. aka chop shops.

Another reason to reject doing things through the government. No respect for taxpayer money. There's a fiscal discipline in individual use of resources, and private companies, not so in government.

Sorry Mike, you need to reread my post. I wrote 'does' when it should have said 'doesn't'.
I have seen in larger corps. the same lame brain philosophy as in government. Where you won't see it is in smaller companies.
Where I worked for several yrs., first as a privately owned partnership and then after it became one location in a much larger corp., if you did not use all your departments money in the year it was budgeted for, the next yr your budget was cut back. So every department would use up that money every yr. whether they needed to or not.
It used to drive me crazy. Just because you really didn't need a new printer in the current yr. didn't mean you wouldn't the next. :shrug

I have observed that in business, just recently, but its there with the larger corps. newpapers work a bit like that as they kinda have to. they plan for x amount of ads and print for that first then adjust the fronts but not the inserts. typically sunday being the largest paper is when they do this.

Deb,

I managed a small company of about 300 employees for 15 years, and then ran my own business for even longer. I appreciate what you and other small business people have been through.

For Obama, federal government reach has NO limit – Free college proposed - http://radioviceonline.com/

Hey, it's not just Obama! How can we expect anything else from progressives, who, after all, see the government as the answer to every problem and inconvenience in life? Of course there's no limit, why does that surprise anyone?
unless its a faith issue and abortion. the government must allow abortion. wink, wink.

so it will be free food and home next. I was thinking about this and taking it to the logical conclusion. if we have the right to a doctor, then why not food, and shelter? what are we working for if we have all that given to us? more stuff! its feeding greed. ironic aint it?
