The Spirit of Christ dwells in your temple. There is no use looking anywhere else.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are
we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
The Temple from which the Lord Arises in in fact "within" you, right now. Yet, it does not appear "what we shall be." The Lord will come suddenly, IN HIS Temple(s.)
Malachi 3:1
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek,
shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.
In the way of God the Arrival of our King was first in the natural, in the external temple of captivity. The "first messenger(s)" also pointed only to the external "natural" lawlessness. Jesus has already advised, in His first physical appearance,
that He will Judge on the Inside, FROM the inside. And much has already been shown by Jesus and the Apostles, in this "internal" regard. Enough for us to know all we need to know.
In the Second Arrival, it will be Spiritual, from within
, in full, and we will be "like" Him.
This is our Promise, and our HOPE.
Colossians 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of
the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
God is WILLING to show His Wrath. This is required, and WILL transpire first. The "enemies'' of the temple, INTERNAL, will be DRIVEN OUT and EXPOSED. Not all that differently than the "money changers" who were driven OUT the first time, and the CORRUPT RULERS 'in the temple' at that time, externally exposed for what they were, children of the devil.
These were all external showings of forthcoming "internal" judgments in the "temple."
Looking on the outside will avail no man anything. They will see nothing coming, but will view these things as upon someone else, and not upon themselves, where the "real internal action" WILL transpire, and is transpiring, even now.
