Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Is this not referring to those worthies of faith listed in Hebrews Chapter Eleven to name a few? v4 Abel, v5 Enoch, v7 Noah, v8 Abraham, v11 Sara, v20 Isaac & Jacob; and it goes on.
Heb 11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one (Abraham), and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude.
Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
When Jesus appears again, will we His sanctified appear with Him as a cloud?
In Heb. 11:12, it is not talking about Abraham coming back from the dead, It is saying that since Sarah was barren, that Abraham could have no children and therefor his seed of his bloodline was dead. Ishmael was not God's doing, he is of the carnal nature, where Isaac was the spiritual son of the promise that the Seed would come being Jesus whom would make son's and daughters of all nations.
God has spared 7,000 OT saints and they are those who came out of their graves after Jesus' alive to this day. They are saved by grace and are the fulfillment of Ezk.37 or the dry bones. If you compare those who came out of their graves in the Earthquake at Jesus' resurrection, with the dry bones who in the Rattle and shaking are many of the OT saints. Once the debt was paid and the Spirit was available God put flesh and sinews on their dry bones that looked as if there was no hope. Yes, Abraham seen Jesus' day and looked forward to him saying, It is finished! The debt was paid and they were released. These 7,000 in 1 Kings 19:18, must be the same 7,000 souls as those in Romans 11:4, for once Jesus came, all must be born again, even Jews. So when it says,Even so then at this present time there is a remnant, it does not mean more, but that they are alive to this day.
John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

1 Kings 19:18 Yet
I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him?
I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Ezek 37:3-14
3 And he said unto me,
Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
4 Again he said unto me,
Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied,
there was a noise, and behold a shaking[Earthquake], and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo,
the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and
the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me,
Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel[Reserved 7,000 OT saints]: behold, they say,
Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people,
I will open your graves, and cause you to
come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when
I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And
shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Matt 27:50-54
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and
the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And
the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus,
saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying,
Truly this was the Son of God.
