The only way all sinners in the world could be convicted by the Spirit and drawn to repentance and mercy, both Jew and Gentile, is if all men are found guilty by law of the death of the Son at the cross, first the Jew and also the Gentile.
The key of prophecy is how God could lawfully bring all sinners of the world into guilt at the cross of Jesus Christ.
Isa 53:7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
It was by Jesus' excellent obedience to the Father in going to the cross, as a meek lamb to the slaughter, who opened not His mouth in any defence of Himself nor His words and works on earth.
That did not lead His own dsiciples to believe on Him at the cross, but rather to believe He was guilty of blasphemy and smitten by the law for calling Himself the Son of God.
Isa 53:3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
None of His own family, those healed by Him, nor His own disciples stood by Him. But rather, all esteemed Him not the Son of God, but smitten by God for saying so.
Gal 3:22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Rom{11:32} For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
It was necessary for the God of all men to bring all men into judgment at the cross, that He might be the Savior of them that repent, whether Jew or Greek.
Rom 3:28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Acts{11:17} Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as [he did] unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? {11:18} When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
