WHY DID CHRIST SEND HIS DISCIPLES OUT WITH THE GOOD NEWS?

Yeah, that doesn't work for Protestants either (and I'm saying this as a Protestant). Peter was still the lead apostle of the early (Jerusalem) church, but surely no Protestant believes Peter was Satan and that Satan was the first apostolic leader of the church in Jerusalem. Such an argument is a little self-defeating, wouldn't you say?

And the time of Reformation began with Martin Luther in Germany in 1515.
Thank God you acknowledge the Reformation!
There’s hope for you yet, Donald.
No Christ is the only mediator!
Christ reformed the mosaic into the new
Only the ceremonial law was fulfilled
The jurisdictional law with kingdom authority to bind and loose was taken from them and given to Peter and the apostles Matt 21:43 Matt 16:17-19 & 18:18
The moral law is eternal
Thanks

Nope

Looks like you two just want to argue Catholics vs Protestants, so I think I'll bow out. Have fun (?)
Where does scripture authorize protests? Rebellion? To oppose the church established by Christ is to oppose Christ who founded it, to oppose the teaching of the church is to oppose Christ who revealed it.
Like Saul (Protestant) who Opposed and persecuted the church was persecuting Christ acts 9:4 but the converted Paul (catholic) was faithful obedient and a saint!
Thanks

No He did not, satan was using Peter Jesus spoke to satan
No, Jesus spoke to a Peter:

Matthew 16:23 (KJV 1900): 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Jesus said Peter was blessed Matt 16:17 not his confession
And how do you give the keys of jurisdictional authority to a confession or expect a confession to administer the kingdom or have a confession bind and loose?

Peter’s person not Peter’s confession
Thanks

Paul wasn’t Protestant.

Jesus called Peter the person “Satan.”
Your first pope was Satan.
He’s the father of the church at Rome.

Either way Peter did not have the anointing yet!

How many times does Peter receive the anointing or the spirit?
Do you know

Agreed. We can't oppose the church established by Christ. However, the Roman Catholic Church was not the church established by Christ! Nor are the Protestants! Neither Jesus nor Paul nor any of the Twelve Apostles were Protestants or Catholics! They were Jews! Jewish Christians! That's just a fact of history. A rather obvious fact, so it's puzzling how it keeps getting missed in the forum discussion here.

Once.
It happen at Pentecost Acts 2.
Really illustrates something!

Jn 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

And acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Thanks

Matt 28;19 acts 1:8 requires apostolic succession to continue till Christ returns

Keys of jurisdictional authority show an unbroken line from christ
Thanks

Jesus said the Holy Spirit will not come until He departs. The breathing on the apostles was symbolic.

John 16:7 (KJV 1900): 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Jesus didn’t lie. So understanding the breathing on the apostles needs to be understood as symbolic.

How can you receive a symbolic?
They received the spirit with power to forgive sins
John 16:7 (KJV 1900): 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

That was the public out pouring

First things first: do we all agree that Jesus, Paul, and the Twelve Apostles were not Roman Catholics or Protestants, but Jewish Christians? I assume we can all at least agree on that for starters.
