Why Does The Concept of Money Exist?

That is a good point but my question was what if everything was free and therefore if it was free,.. we wouldn't even need to trade anything for anything.

When the robots take over production they may give things to people for free.

When people make things with their hands, they usually need something in return so that their family can survive. For example, you might raise chickens, and your neighbor might raise cows. You give your neighbor some eggs in return for some milk, and you both have a good breakfast.

If your neighbor gives away all of his milk for free, what will his family eat?

True, good point.

True, it was done after in a few places when the employer didn't have any money to pay his workers.

Private banks mostly didn't print their own money after 1913 though.
Never heard of a mint in my county .no bank prints money . in my county the very first bank still stands it folded during the Depression I have photos.this was built in 1914,then enlarged in 1921.pre depression banks didn't issue mortgages ,you paid cash for the house first then it was built

no bank prints money.

In the United States, the Free Banking Era lasted between 1837 and 1866, when almost anyone could issue paper money.

Not any more.

At the end of the Second Bank of the United States in 1836, the control of banking regimes devolved mostly to the states.

It was a free for all till 1863. Then different states allowed different practices till 1913. Then a monopoly was given to one group. That group has abused its monopoly to rip off the people with inflation. It now takes about $2,475.96 to buy what $100 could buy in 1913.

Diverse weights and diverse measures, They are both alike, an abomination to the LORD. Proverbs 19:13 KJV

Its not right for people to work decades to earn a pension, and then some banker puts his thumb on the scale and says the pension can now only buy half as much.

Because of Spanish gold ,that happened on gold . my state wasn't settled much until after 1870,and even then it was sparse until,1950.they used 200,year old Spanish and military trails to build infrastructure .

That said ,gold isn't immune to bubble economies.its crashed in the 1890s,and spain caused it in the 1600s.

Again ,I really don't think you,get it .

Do sports teams cheat?
Are salesmen ,business honest

I'm cynicism because I see things I have to shut off water meters to Church's and lock them cuz they were stealing water and I have shut off water and lock them to so-called Christian businesses who have stolen water I had to turn it off or will turn what off in a few days that claims Christianity and they didn't pay their $300 water bill and I've seen rich people live cheat and steal money from the government which is not unreasonable amounts to ask there were lawfully agreed to these things and they'll go out a way to manipulate. Never mind the terrorists in space a good foundation is Nation when Farmers work wear being beat by a foreign farmers and they want to tarrif so that they can have the advantage.

. It has not changed what's said now, lie if you ain't Cheatin you ain't trying I've heard that since I've been in the military it was done then and it's done now and I'm not implying all businesses or the robber barons were all that bad even though they weren't really robber barons,

However Gene lying and manipulation is going on since the time of man and don't think that people won't do that because they want more power and it will get it anyway they can dishonestly

Gold or silver is a commodity. Much like wheat, oil, livestock, or automobiles.
The world's economy was once based on commodities. Now it is based on what we call a fist based monetary system.
The medium of exchange between Fiat monies has a complex system for equal value but it is majorly based on commodities. (And supply of money and wages and real estate and...) US Dollars are considered a depositary currency and most Governments issue their own currency based on deposits of US Dollars in USA Banks. Over 75% of foreign currencies are based on American Dollars. The Euro and the Chinese are outside this but have no doubt that if the US Dollars were to collapse so would theirs.

The weights and measures in the Bible were because grain and other food commodities had to be weighed for fair trades. Everything almost was about food back then. Even tithing was in food.

Well, yes. Coinage was around and in use in those times, but we had had 4000 years already yo mess things up!
Now when Jesus was here...he said, render unto ceaser the things that are ceasers...which is not an endorsement in my mind!

We're kind of stuck with a monetary system for now...but I bet you 10 to 1 that, in heaven when we're there living, there will be no money system! Betcha !!

it was messed up before, gold was so great that in Sodom and gommorah that it was like bread to them and they had extreme poverty and ignored and were judged for that(not just sexual sins).

it appears until the Persians and the greeks so far isreal didn't have coins. yet I think there is mentioning of it. if I feel up to I will look for that later on.

in heaven neither will have jobs, and retirement but there will be work likely.

and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more. Numbers 8:25 NKJV
levites only, not the other 11, context of being serveants of carryin at the tabernacle and they could meet needs and still minister.

where is rashi @jeff bishop on that.lol

Wrong! If there isn't any money in Heaven then why is it said that the streets will be paved with gold? I think our mansions are said to be made out of gold as well if I remember correctly.

what type of reason would be there for money? I don't think the idea of that is what you are getting. the gold and so forth is probably an illusion to the temple built by the jews which represented the Heavens itself. gold was in the temple ,

What makes you think that Gold is only valuable for use as money? I have it on good authority that it makes dandy paving bricks too!

...and even here on earth...why is gold valuable? It is actually a very good material in electrical components. It conducts electric very well and wont corrode.

The Lord gave me 400 paper cash before. 4 100 dollar bills. It was not mine, and I know that I didn't have it...and after I prayed for help...there is 400 bucks that wasn't there before! I wonder though...did God supernaturally make this cash? If He did...would that make it counterfeit? Or did someone else lose this money at some point? I've wondered how that was done!
