Spanish revival is what they is called. in the time that was built it was called boomtime stucco. a term still used in historical recollections. there are others that are much bigger then that one. that is the few left that is that old in that form. there is the one to the north that billy graham stayed in and a bit north another about a decade older. I havent photographed them with my dlsr.Nice house. I like the design.
Florida is relatively warm in the winter. You would probably still need a well insulated sleeping bag to wait in a tent.
no 911, mom worked my county until retirement and up to 1979 she was the one of a few that directed ems. in that time frame you had party calls and simply could without dialing talk to anyone of course any one could listen. numbers such as my dads and moms would be jo-3387, then later 9-3387. they got that number as a seven digit and I used the old way of listing it. most old numbers in our county were jo then 7-5-1 or 9 -xxxx.Those were the days. No robocalls.

they had fire pits
way off topic the big water tower was used to tell the fire and cops to call the station and then act. if it went red , or later on the siren was mounted on it and I remember that loud thing, you could hear it at noon. and it was loud even over the bridge it was heard. it had a red and green light.in my time it pulsed to each, in the days before the dispatch as I mentioned it was the red light.Yes, those are nice.

until the early 80s(86) the fire station was across from it and in 1926 to 1961 when this was a power plant full time, after big blue was built and unit one went online it became a back up .I hope they wore earplugs if they were standing next to it.
fountain is new. let me go dig up the 1920s photo. the owner made the edifice look as Italian and only the brazilain court(as old) has one from that time. Spaniards weren't as big on them in these, itailians like them, that isnt to say said architects didnt make exceptions. a big designer (not mizner but tremble) did add them. They look sturdy, after all this time. In Florida's humidity too. Someone told me they had to run the A/C in their relatively new house to keep the humidity reasonable inside for the structure.
I like the fountain in the yard. They really did a good job back then.
they didn't even let me speak until I told them the story of when I first heard and felt that spirit in that house which is near their properties. the do you know how many hail marys I said? im Italian, we fear those, lol. she mentioned this
Cyprus floors that were allowed to rot.
inside the plant was a button above the door that should a fire inside occur would trigger the alarm on the tower. my fil would run should the fire station one not work and would sound that tower, he said it was often.
well a power plant isn't gonna bee a brewery. the water tower was taken down regretfully in the mid 80s. big blue lies silent. we do have a 911 system and the firestation was razed in the mid 80s.86. it was a two story oneI hope they improved safety since then.
that apartment was allowed to rot, she said they were closing and it was as is and he knew the roof was leaking. I didn't sense the spirits there, she did that as a some ghost hunter group contacted them about doing a reading there. I have before them buying it sense something there. not strong but aware that I was reading meters where that tiny box is one the side with alley way. I had to and and still do if I had the route would read that water from the front and wondered its history. it was at one time called the luther apartments after the man who owned it(still alive and I met him and talk to his wife).some time after he sold it was left to rot as it does until they bought and saw it and planned a vision for it and unknown to her, she fixed the awnings and was shocked that her plan sans that fountain was indentical to its original owner. They may need an exorcist.
Okay, they needed to take precautions in older homes too.
dlsr. I also edited them for clarity. but web pages do modify files, facebook does, I post on imgur so that I can share. they usually don't. the diesel plant(brewery) does have some odd effects with that brick work that is visible without a camera and that checkered effect is normal. that place does that often. The first thing I notice is that your pictures are so much clearer. When I opened the picture in a new tab, and magnified it, it became blurry. Camera technology has improved markedly over the years.
