Nope. Unless you can show a scientific paper that has "because we say so" as justification for a result, you're just making yet another empty assertion.
Dude, if you know anything about the academic community these days, you wouldn't have asked me for a "because we say so" justification, the peer review system is pretty much the same as "because we say so", it's like I review your paper on this, you review my paper on that, you review my work today, I review your work tomorrow. To have any scientific research paper published, it must pass such peer review, or it will never see the light of day. Many dissenting voices are often censored and the authors are punished, even though it's totally legitimate and true. If that's not "because we say so", I don't know what is. Science has been subtly replaced with scientism, which means objective evidence and discovery have been replaced with "expert consensus" and "group think", that's a religion, not science.

Why aren't young persons of today getting married?

It does depend where ine looks.
Lots of young people do marry, lots of Christian young people marry, but lots of young people belief that marriage is outdated, unnecessary etc etc.

A large part of the problem is that society and the media does not value marriage.

Even churches do not teach consistently on the value and permanence of marriage.

The stats clearly show that marriage is better for children, men and women as well as for society.
This is not popular so is not taught.

LOL....once again you expect me to just take your say-so as unquestioned gospel. Well, I've actually been a part of the peer review process, both as an author and a reviewer, and it's nothing like what you describe. So given the choice between my first-hand experiences and your "because I say so", I'll go with my experiences thank you.

OK, if you say so, God bless. Can we go back to marriage - or lack thereof?

Sugar daddys and attachment. More of INORDINATE affection.

Colossians 3:5. Put to death therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature, sexual immorality, impunity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

It's habitual sinners that follow satan. They wont repent and don't care about God.

I saw on heathen courts, on tv, some women saying the man owes child alimony.

2 Timothy chapter 3 tells us about end times. It's a evil generation.

No moral compass.

The world is do your brothers before he does you.

We're living in very evil times.

I'm in agreement.

Just want to say that if a man abandons his family, which he created 50% worth, then he has the responsibility to pay half of that family's expenses.

Or If he forced the wife to leave,,, through abuse, for instance.

I dunno 🤷‍♂️
Divorce rates in the USA 🇺🇸 are lower now for first marriages than in years past. So…those who do get married seem to be seeing it through. Yay 😀

My vote is social and economic fact. Why get married if one is unable to live a decent lifestyle because of housing costs etc plus stagnant wages? Corporations are back at massive layoffs now so even keeping a low paying job is becoming an issue.

People are also not reproducing like we used too. Everything is too expensive especially kids. If kids aren’t an option why not just date and or cohabitate?

I will say that just as some individuals have maladaptive behavior so too some subgroups seem to as well. If…if…a young ish couple can make a first marriage work then it can be a tool for upward mobility.

Upward mobility is good if "upward" is to do on earth as it is done in heaven !

On earth maybe not so great -

but if people will honestly pursue God,
be truthful one with another,
be working together as God Says To Do,
all day every day of life no matter where they are.....

then even though individuals, singles, married couples and families will still suffer greatly,

the joy of their union with Jesus and with others abiding in Him as put together by Him,
is seen and known and is a testimony to believers and unbelievers of God's Great Power
and Salvation and Healing present in His people now today on earth.

Marriage is ordained by God, but it's not for everybody. It's a privilege and luxury, not everybody can afford it; it's also a lifetime commitment, not everybody can handle it, and we both know that God won't give you more than what you can handle. "He who is able to accept it, let him accept it."

For instance: No Killing.

but

if you cannot accept this,

then go ahead,

????????

First of all, God never said "no killing". The commandment states: "you shall not MURDER." This excludes butchering an animal, death penalty, accident, warfare, self defense, and in some cases, even pulling the plug of life support system, it only applies to pre-meditated first degree murder out of pure hatred; and God demands death penalty for first degree murder, Gen. 9:6. Death penalty is also demanded for various other offenses in the mosaic law.

Second, Jesus taught that in response to the disciples' conclusion in the previous verse: "If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” (Matt. 19:10) Jesus did NOT rebuke this by lecturing on them with the sanctity of marriage, instead he told them that there're singles, i.e. eunuchs, who in three different circumstances end up as singles. If the disciples can't accept His teaching, let these singles accept it, God loves them as much as He loves married couples, singles are NOT condemned. You're taking it completely out of context.
