Can you provide proof of their failure and Christianity's success?
Well, I could but I frankly don't have the time for such a monstrous task. Have you read any books on why Christianity's truth claims surpass other religions?

Fair enough. There are certainly enough religions out there to make that task quite daunting and it would make for a very large post.
I have not, perhaps I'll look into it.

I appreciate your understanding. Hopefully, you can find some decent reads on the topic.

so that's my question. I was raised baptist and know the bible backwards and forwared but as i'm approaching 40 i'm starting to question.

Why jesus and not muhammad or budda? If you add up all the muslims and hindues who do not believe in jesus it comes out to about 3.4 billion right now.

I have a hard time believing that any god that created us would slaughter this number of people. If what the bible says is true will this many actually die?

I am confused about this.

Before 30s, one can hardly get in touch with nudity. Today, one can hardly avoid getting in touch with nudity. While it is said that by God's Law lust is equivalent to commiting adultery. Take this as an example and when judging by God's Law, which way you think that you (your soul) will be saved?

1. you abide by God's Law such that you successfully keep yourself from nudity and such and that you will be able to pass the final judgment.

2. Jesus has already atoned for your sins (whatever they are), all you need to do is to abide by the New Covenant and believe in Jesus Christ, and to repent.

The second approach is Christianity, while the first is of other religions.
