Why Like Cats?

I just couldn't resist lol :lol (never saw the cartoon, but love the movie)

"There's no need to fear, Underdog is here!"-Underdog

Cats are wonderful.
There are many reasons to like them.
Why do You like cats?

I like them because they're puffy, fluffy and warm.
Hi Wondering, I love my Cat, it is loyal as our dogs were. This is my second Persian The last one, when it passed, jumped up in my bed near me and passed away. It still hurts me to think of her love for me and losing her...I love all of God's creation. Death is an intruder in Gods creation and will be delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious liberty of the children (sons) of God.

Amen, about death.

wow, earlier tonight (and I had not seen this thread until just now)
i was walking outside -- saw a cat poop -- then cover it up

and out of the blue I started wondering "Why?"

Dogs poop and go their way - why do cats take the time to bury their poop?

I googled it - i figured their HAD TO BE a "survival oriented reason" for this behavior

I read articles that the BIG CATS (lions tigers pumas) do NOT cover their poop --
they mark their territory this way
the smaller cats
developed the habit of covering their poop so as not to offend the bigger predators
as well as not to leave as much of a trail for predators to find them

I always thought it was because they're such clean animals.
My cats must be very happy. There's a big open field right in front of my house.
Thanks for posting the info.

I already posted this in the photography thread, but here's my kitty if you haven't seen her yet. (hopefully in the future I can show you a picture of my dog as well still crossing my fingers :crossed)

This is my baby girl Jessie. (mwah I love you! :kiss)

And this is a picture of my other kitty that ran away a few years ago. I will always love her and miss her like crazy. But she's being pretty silly in this picture so it's really hard for me to be sad right now.

OMG - we are about to shut down for maintenance !!

see all of you when its over

Funny first sentence.
And you're musical too!

I have 8 cats.
Don't ask.
lol

The newest addition followed another cat into the house. It looked like one I already had until I took a closer look.
"Who are you?"
:hips
Turns out a previous owner gave her to someone and that someone dumped her off. Found out on Facebook when that previous owner recognized the cat. She's young, wonderful personality and fit right in.
All have the Seresto flea collars recommended by the vet. Started that last month. Supposed to last 8 months so I'll buy one every month.
We'll see. Flea season coming up soon.
