Will God Judge America?

Dear all,

1. America is homeland of false doctrines and occultism. It is home to scientologists, satanists, witches, voodoos, psychics, mediums, soothsayers, you name it. Halloween is perfect recruitment day for the occult, and popular games/books celebrate magic so as to make witchcraft attractive. Illuminati symbols, 666, demonic doctrines too often are found in mainstream music videos. Some celebrities and rock groups admit selling their souls to Satan for money and fame.

2. The god of America is pleasure. The entertainment media promotes fornication and adultery. Pornography, pedophilia and other perverted sexual things enslaves minds of many people. Too often games, parties, TV, movies, celebrity gossip, sport entertainment take priority over God.

3. The government of America is not under God. Abortion is legal. A third of States legalize gay marriage with blessings of the president and many other politicians. Prayer has been removed from many schools. Pagan and satanic symbols and numerology are rampant in Pentagon, Statue of Liberty, the Obelisk, White House, and more.

4. It seems to me many self-proclaimed Christians are not Christians in heart. Statistically speaking, many people who identify themselves as Christians dont read Bible regularly or at all, or attend church. Would they pray often or only when in times of trouble? If they were to die today, would they go to heaven or hell? Do they go to church to get their ears tickled?

I have this dreadful feeling that God's patience has run out and judgement will fall on America. Let us prioritize God above everything else, repent from all sins, and lead others to salvation. I fear God will judge America...

Same 4 points are true for any other western country.
And many non-western countries have different kinds of sin issues (violence, persecution of christians, corrupt governments, false religions,...)
God will judge the entire world, why would the USA get a special treatment?
Also, I'm wondering... isn't the new covenant dealing with individuals rather than nations?

The US is not a people but a place. Its sin is that of the world, and Christians are of a belief and profession by grace through faith. Are there different levels of growth of the will of God? Yes, and Rom 12:2 tells us to be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We are not responsible for our leaders God puts into power that rule in the kingdom of men, and He sets over us the basest of worst of men.

We are to do what God told us to do, but I have heard every cause men can think of to support their way of thinking to justify doing, or not doing certain things that seem righteous to them. Normally, they seek your, and my help to stop sin in the world: i.e. - Let's put a stop to abortion, let's close all the bars, and start prohibition, our government doesn't like the ten commandments, or other religious icons in public places: let's get together and vote those who would support certain legislation contrary to our beliefs out of office. One pastor I heard of solicits money to aid him in reaching our country with a message to vote certain judges out of office who support homosexual legislation; do you actually believe you, or they'll have any effect on those involved in homosexuality? Some will even go as far as not paying taxes to a government that is like ours because they believe they're helping support something that is against God.

In Matthew 22:15-22 we read of Jesus paying taxes to Rome who practiced such horrendous things against Christians and others beyond description in cruelty unsurpassed in history, and they were absolutely renowned for their wickedness.

Then we read in 1 Timothy 2:2. (Pray) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Be blessed in Christ Jesus, and welcome to CF.net. :wave2

I agree with Claudya and Eugene. All will be judged according to their deeds on an individual level. God is just and He wouldn't throw the whole population of a country into the lake of fire for the sake of it. Those that are pure of heart in His eyes will be saved.
While America's politicians and elite steal the limelight for depravity and corruption, there are other nations and other individuals far more sinister. But because they are not in the limelight they get away with little or no scrutiny from the western world.

I don't know, I have seen it head south. its hard to believe in my dads youth and the days of jim crow laws that Miami was safer then now. im not saying jim crow should return. only that I believe America is reaping what it has sown.

For many, it seems that last years lawn was always greener. America is on average becoming a better place with better people, and leading the rest of the world toward a better future. Yet it is a process full of ups and downs not perceptible to myopic murmurers who take the miracle of our status quo for granted.

Are we really getting better? Wouldn't that depend on your definition of what "better" means? People often use GDP to measure progress, but there are some who say that other ways would be better. An article published recently in Nature Magazine talked about a National Happiness Index and Genuine Progress Index. Here's a chart showing the latter compared to GDP.

According to this chart, we haven't made any progress at all in the last 40 years. In fact, we've been going slightly downhill. Of course, that's the world as a whole, so individual countries might be different. I still have a feeling that the two indexes mentioned in the Nature article would show way less progress than GDP for any western country.

im from a small town. years ago the things of sexual immorality were around, but not as blatent. Its a lot easier for ten year old to watch and view porn then it was in my day, and I did see it via playboy/ penthouse. its a lot harder for a parent to stop those things. one can work around an internet filter.

God has in fact judged America.

The judgement is specifically called Barack Obama.

When we serve other gods then God will gives evil leaders the file over us.

It is this: on the Judgment Day, God will not resurrect nations and judge them. The decisions and policies of nations are judged instantaneously. Doors open spiritually either for blessing or cursing instantly.

There is a difference between the judgment of actions as far as what the actions themselves produce in relation to whether or not they line up with God's Word and the judgement of individuals on the Judgment Day for whether or not they've accepted Jesus as their sacrifice for sin and what the rewards are for their work for God down here.

It's not nations that will be judged, but those who live in every nation will be judge. We who are in Christ will take part in the harvest Judgement, Rev 14-14-20. The rest will go through the vial judgements of Rev Chapter 15 and 16. Nations will be consumed by fire as the elements will melt and then God will usher down the New heaven and create once again a new Earth.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

“For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:9-10 NKJV

54When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?" 55But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; 56for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." And they went on to another village. Luke 9:55 NASB

That's right, He'll never be angry with any of us again. Hallelujah!
The word kindness is the Hebrew word for covenant love, it's hesed; it is the unreasonable love, the undeserving love, the tender loving kindness of the Lord. It is what you see in the Greek with agappe.

Aside from the every day filth that's become common place there's an area we seldom pay much attention to.. :yes

"The United State’s treatment of Israel and natural disasters"

tob

Google that sentence up..:bricks

Yup, TOB, you bring up the point of the decisions of nations being judged instantly, the same as our actions are judged instantly and carry either the blessing or the curse with them.
