Would Jesus Get Banned On A Present Day Christian Forum?

Wrong, but ok.
How am I wrong?

Are not the mods and admins holding the power over who gets to talk on these types of sites?
Yes they are.
Can they make the determination if someones opinions are allowed to be seen?
Yes they can.
If you disagree with them can they ban you without any recourse?
Yes they can.

It has happened to me on another site and I don't see anything that would say differently.

I'm just tired of going back and forth, especially since I'm leaving for work soon. Believe as you like.

So you say God is a changing god and fickle in His ways.
Strange tack to take.

I'm saying that He changes the rules sometimes, yes. In each disposition of time the Lord has dealt with man in different ways. It doesn't mean He changes and it doesn't mean He is fickle. That just means that, we don't get it fully, yet.

Is it good to give the children's food to the dogs.
If someone said that to another member on a forum... and it got reported as "calling someone a dog"... would the post be taken down?
You bet it would because it would be seen as offensive.
Yet I seem to remember reading that line somewhere else.

You said Jesus wouldn't use the words He used if the words were now considered not sensitive.
I think the political correctness was one thing that got up His nose.
Do you heal on the Sabbath or not?
Do you pay your taxes or not?
Do you keep the fast days or not?

These topics vary with political correctness... but not with God.

Fascinating how that wouldn't apply to Jesus or His Disciples... why would that be?
They raised all kinds of trouble... and then Paul advises Timothy to be different.
Maybe that verse doesn't apply to this exact conversation.

2 Timothy 2 is actually about getting into strife-filled debate with people and going round and round with them all day long, which is unfortunately what many if not most on the forums are doing these days, Lol.

Food for thought.

(Note: Comment not related to this current discussion. Just an observation)

About things like this, I have risked being banned from forums before for being highly aggressive. I haven't been that way at this forum, however, because sometimes the things I wrote were written in the wrong spirit, so I turned a new leaf when I came here. The point is, you have to watch allowing yourself to get into a hateful and angry spirit when you have to chastise others. As scripture says, "the wrath of man does not cultivate the righteousness of God."

That previous forum allows for members to say all manner of evil things to one another, and engage in every deceitful debate tactic under the sun which unfortunately only generates even more strife. Personally, at this point I would rather forego some of the "freedoms" I used to walk in over there to have a place where people are actually held accountable for treating one another with a little more kindness and respect.

So according to your own testimony Jesus would be banned from sites like this one.
Or Jesus would self-censor... not speak the truth.
I just don't see Jesus self-censoring.
Nor the Apostles.

It depends... I think Jesus would be more likely to be banned from Facebook than a Christian forum.
Nah... those that say they are on your side are more likely to get upset when you rock the boat.
Did Pilate have a problem with Jesus first or was he only become involved once the Jewish leaders started calling for an execution?
Your enemies don't care enough about your actions until you disrupt their lifestyle... but your "allies" have a vested interest in keeping the status quo.

dwb001 that in itself is a 50/50. What would Jesus be saying on here that would get him banned?
Everything He said in the Gospels that might be offensive.
What 50/50????
I have repeated the answer to you question too many times... just read the back posts and you will get the point I was making.

I didn't say that. I said He doesn't talk like that to me.

You might be right. But why would He deal with mankind in old testament parameters nowadays when we are in the new covenant now where many of the parameters have changed? He doesn't.

This is the church age, the age of grace. It's almost harvest time!

dwb001 50/50 is half chance Jesus would be banned.

I don't think Jesus would be banned on here, if he criticized the members on here than yes. But would he actually do this? If he was taken out of time and brought here it would most certainly be interesting how he would react. If he was brought up in our current time would he be a lot more smart and try to get people to follow him rather than criticize them?

Jesus was raised in an environment where people thought tools of that era were the devil so it's not at all surprising he was seen as the "enemy". Social skills back in that day was still primitive compared to today. He would make enemies in Christianity leaderships but also befriends others.

Now what does that say about the group leaders of this forum? If someone came in like Jesus and told people in the community were a terrible Christian? How would people react? What does that say about them?

If people of modern times were slow to anger and quick with thinking maybe they would ask, why am I a terrible Christian? Or better yet ask yourself or the person what can I do to improve myself?

Of course the people of that time didnt understand what Jesus was saying and they were quick to anger and wasn't even thinking! Who is this guy that claims to be the Son of God to criticize me? This guy says I'm a sinner and I need to change my lifestyle around. Of course you'd be upset and try to ban them.

It's the case of Twitter and the 2 different parties. Twitter silences one side because different opinions hurt their lifestyles.

Ahh, but He does. The way He talks does not generate strife. It always provokes one to thought and self inflection. It's like He always says just the right thing, just the right way.

Those are true words.

I'm pretty much in agreement with you with this except for Jesus wouldn't do that nowadays. He doesn't talk like that to the people anymore, or at least me.

I remember when I was a young punk with a foul mouth. I said something off color to some stranger out somewhere sometime, I forget exactly what I said but it wasn't nice. And that man let loose a string of words on me and just chewed me up one side and down the other. And he did it without using even a single curse word. I was totally humbled and in awe of this man's vocabulary.

And he was just a man. I'm sure Jesus has a better vocabulary than that guy does. Jesus would provoke conviction without a violation of the ToS.

Edward that's pretty much it. The entire reason for following Jesus is to be kind to others and repent for your sins, though I always take it as, what did I do wrong today and how can I do better tomorrow.

I was praying one time for the Lord to give me discernment, and He answered me almost immediately. He siad, you want to learn discernment? Ok, practice by looking for me inside of the people in your life day by day.../

That caught me off guard, lol! This is not an easy one, is it Lord? What was it they said in scripture? When did we see you thirsty Lord and give you water? He said, when you gave a cup of water to that obnoxious guy that you don't like (paraphrased!). So He is in them and we are to take that into consideration! This is a hard one.
