How CLOSE to the End Times, are we??

A few say the Lord delayed his coming, but most understand THAT SOMETHING IS UP!

And the vast majority of the professed at least, are not ready and will not be ready for what [is] coming in Matt. 24 21
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Yet, it is these ones of Matt. 7 (broad/way) & Rev. 17:1-5 that are to be given the Rev. 14:6-10 warning. These will stop at nothing to use Caesar to enforce legal means to USE HIS FORCE to STOP these Judgements of God... EXCEPT REPENT of their many sins! (these of Matt. 6:24)

Most ALL of these recognize the time that we are living in as the last days. And they are fearful to broadcast that we are in the last days of the worlds history because of their lack of being ready for Christ's Coming.

Never mind the WARNING of one disaster following on the heels of another! Such as the 'Second deadly tornado upgraded to rare EF5' At 2.6 miles, Okla. storm is widest ever recorded, weather service says.'

So what is next to come on the scene? Stay tuned!! (a GOVERNMENT forced sun law which most all agree too! Caesar OVER God!)

And then we hear the cry of Rev. 18:4 in its fullness!

Isaiah 19:25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

I really do not know except questions and answers are rolling right along and I just responded with a thought. I imagine we can delete it if you want me to. These manner of threads call for much assumption such as your quoted statement below. If I were to reply to it in opposition you could ask the same thing, but what has it to do with "You be the judge for how near we are to the End." Thanks.

Biblical Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon have all received their end times and are no more. These are historic people groups defined by religious culture, not geographic location. That is why Israel remains Israel even when in captivity or the diaspora as long as they don't forget who they are.

I would respectfully disagree here, enough nuclear weapons stock piled to erase ALL life off the face of the earth 54 times over has not been normal for most all of history. A time when chemical and biological weapons can do the same is not the normal of history. A time when one can read the license plate numbers on cars from a satellite is not normal. A time when one can converse with anyone else, anywhere on the planet in real time has not been normal throughout history. I think these are very specific and non-normal times.

And this occurs in the Millenium, after the return of Christ.

And so did God call Egypt His people in biblical times, Assyria the work of God's hands, and Israel His inheritance? I do know God mentions Israel as His inheritance polluted in that time and given into the hands of the Chaldeans. Is your view Preterist in nature?

Isaiah 19:18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

Isaiah 19:19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.

In that vain of thinking I agree John....we still have wars and roomers of wars.... folks getting married etc...

Do you suppose that when the first guns were invented long with canons, sailing with canons, etc. people maybe thought, these aren't normal times.
What about the Native Americans when Sharp repeaters came against them and trains to carry off buffalo hides, these aren't normal times?

interesting the actually people of Assyria and chaldeans are about I think 90% Christians have been since ad 70 they were the first to convert. but that could apply to Jonah since that chapter mentions also something that is well known. that would the temple in Egypt. the elphatine temple.

its also where the jews built and it was around the same time as or later then the second temple.

a jew in America is who does the torah is no less part of isreal then the jews in physical isreal who do the same. the rabbis teach this and I have read that.

Isaiah 19 is prophecy concerning ancient Egypt which was fulfilled from the 7th century BC through the 1st century AD.

Sunday Sabbeth.

This group lords day alliance been around since the 50's.

When I was a kid in CT, almost everything was closed on Sunday due to the Blue laws of the state.
