Like I said once before 1% of a population is still a lot of people, that's how you have to look at it.

All cases that had a outcome combined is about 20% death although some health systems are better than others. That's massive and why it must be taken seriously. The more this spreads the more people suffer even if the % is low it's still a lot of people.

It's not a time to just think of ourselves.

Also, even if the health system is great, it's just not ready for this.
There aren't enough ICU units which is the problem in Northern italy.
Some patients are being sent to Germany and other hospitals in Italy.
It takes time to set up an ICU department. People that go to the hospital go because they have to be intubated (?) otherwise they're told to stay home and isolate themselves even from other members in the same home...different bath, bedroom, etc.

I don't understand why testing more persons is good.

A person could be asymptomatic.
A person could test negative today and get it tomorrow.

I mean, it's a good thing to do..I just don't understand how efficacious it could be to actually stop the spread.

They simply tested and quarentine the sick and these who contacted them.aside from,the debate on privacy ,they didn't lock down ,they also unlike China who isn't telling the truth,if the eu,Usa is not buying much from China how can they being makong things ?

This is what im concerned about, being locked down by the government under an excuse for a long, long time. The alert level might lift but I think nothing is going to be the same again.

Yeah...that's why I put CURE in quotation marks.
The antibiotic is really to stop further complications.

We don't get the flu shot....too many different different types of flu going around and the shot is good for the most popular one for that year - so what's the use?

My family dr told me two of his patients died this year from the shot...but he says everyone should still get it. He tries to convince me every September, but he never succeeds !

Most of the regions are free from covid19. Surely some type of businesses can continue.

Businesses are going bust, people are loosing jobs.

Are the banks going to be lenient on people and businesses...

When we feel sorry for ourselves during lockdown, it might be worth imagining what its like working in hospitals now. Abuse from colleagues, abuse from patients, 12 hour shifts. On your feet all that time. Real fear of catching corona. High stress. Prolonged stress. And no let up.
I will take boring lockdowns any day. given the choice.

Yes but it's already been mentioned on here that this is a lot bigger than the Flu and not everybody is using common sense so the government feels like it has to do something about it.
