I agree with your second paragraph.
But you don't sound like this in other posts....
I'm just saying that it's important to be clear for new Christians.
Some churches are teaching hyper grace and easy believism (not my terms)
and they're not doing anyone any favor.

The gospel has not changed because it's 2020...it's the same gospel it was 2 thousand years ago.

What the Gospel is NOT is almost as important as what it IS ......Everything I Believe about Paul’s Gospel That SAVEs all of those that Rest In It can be viewed here......A fascinating study Of The Gospel by a great man of Faith.....Harry Ironside....Google this ....it will bless you in the Understanding Of 1Cor15: 1-4...... “ Harry Ironside Gospel”

for a long time it was off topic then a new section was added where it could be discussed . it is a very stick subject

I am discussing turning Repentance ( a good thing) into a Dead Work ( a bad thing) I have never seen that discussed here.....I though it was OSAS that was Off Limits.....can you fill me in? Thanks...

Personally , I am not very Big on “ Hyper Grace”........ I Believe Firmly In “ SUPER” Hyper Grace...my Version tries to make sure that Jesus gets EVERY LAST OUNCE of Credit for My Salvation and I get exactly what I am entitled to.......ZERO. How about all you Girls and Guys out there ? Is it more like 90% Him and 10% YOU.......? God won’t have it.Turns out that He is STILL a “ jealous God”.......Be ready to give Jesus Christ ALL of the Credit.....ALL the Glory or you could be in for a VERY Long Day......It really WAS “ Nothing But The Blood” all along.....Don't discover that when it could be too late.....

When the Day arrives that Jesus says “ Follow James as He follows Christ”, I will let the writings of James take precedence over the writings of Paul . When Jesus says that James is His “Chosen Vessel” to deliver the Gospel Of His Grace to the Gentiles ......When Jesus says that He Revealed to James the Mysteries That God kept hidden since the beginning of time, then
I will Lean towards James when he and Paul “seemingly” say opposite things.....There are NO Contradictions in God's Word .....there are just some things going on right now we can’t explain adequately ......that will change in the Future, when “ all questions will be answered” .......until that day arrives, I will “ go with Paul, as he goes with Jesus....”

It’s you by the Spirit obeying the truth.

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 1 Peter 1:22-23

"What happens with indoctrinations is, first, the indoctrinated person will not see the plain words in scripture that defy what they believe. Apparently, that's where you're at right now. Then when they can no longer deny what the passage says they will invent a way for those words to not really apply to them or make them not really mean what they say." - Jethro Bodine Post #699

As we can see for ourselves, John, Paul, James, (George, and Ringo) are all on the same page:

"24You see that a person is considered righteous (justified) by what they do and not by faith alone." - James 2:24

"The only thing that counts (towards justification) is faith expressing itself through love." - Galatians 5:6

"17If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" - 1 John 3:17

They all teach that the faith that justifies is the faith that works. You show that you have the faith that justifies by working. The person who can't show their faith by what they do is not saved.

The mistake you are making is thinking dead faith somehow gives God all the glory and shows you're resting in him and not trying to earn your salvation. But the fact is, if your faith is dead you are not saved. You do not have the love of God in you. You're not resting in God. You have a faith that can not save you. You just think you do:

"14What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? " - James 2:14

"17If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" - 1 John 3:17

Yes, this is exactly how born agains walk. It is a natural process! Romans 7:4 So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.

I think what Blood Bought is trying to convey, is to be careful that Christ in you should be manifesting his holiness.......so look to him in you to do the right thing.

Matthew 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

No, he is not saying you are to be careful to manifest Christ's holiness. He says if you are trying to purposely do that you are trying to earn your own salvation and not resting in Christ. He says you have no obligation to act holy, or to prove anything by how you act. He says doing that is actually unbelief. He does not know scripture. He does not know it because the indoctrination he is blinded by doesn't teach him the full counsel of scripture.

"make every effort to confirm your calling and election." - 2 Peter 1:10

"12 ...we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die..." - Romans 8:12-13

"5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming." - Colossians 3:5-6

I haven't read that in his words. I am reading that it is not his holiness that is manifested, he is resting in Christ. Like, "Here Lord..........do your thing". Remember we are given freedom in Christ.

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

I take this to mean that we wont be taking any Fishing Trips together this summer? Dang! I just Love Religious people— so much fun to hang around with! Maybe you would prefer to hop on the back of my Harley Soft Tail ! Beware..... I sometimes pull over to the side of the road and offer “ free rides for pretty Girls” ......you could get kicked off the back of the bike if I find any takers ......lol......pssst...I am a happily married man—- will I go to Hell for this?
This is a very controversial post. I knew what you meant by it, but obviously people who aren't so strong it the faith will see it as pure blasphemy.

Your wife trusts you because you have the Spirit of Christ in you.

If "I'm" wrong with the interpretation, please let me know.

Matthew 11:18-19 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,'He has a demon." The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, "Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend to tax collectors and "sinners" But wisdom is proved right by her actions."

"28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." - Matthew 5:28

If you were keeping up with his posts you'd know he's not kidding.
But of course he's going to say he was kidding. Watch.

This is where Jesus needs to be the captain of a straight man's ship. Now, I'm not male.....but I don't think I need to be in order to understand the gravity of what Jesus said here. "Every" guy does this at one point or another. Only Christ can navigate a guy through a sea of beautiful females and have the absolute squeaky clean conscience.

You're not understanding what's going on.
It is being argued that if you try to be holy you are not resting in Christ. So if that means you sin, even purposely, oh well, that's God's problem because if you did anything about it you'd be working and not resting in Christ--you'd be sinning. I wouldn't be surprised if this sounds right to you. This false doctrine has infiltrated the church so deeply that many 'Christians' can not recognize it for the junk doctrine that it is.
