Faith. Those before Christ lived by faith. It's all about faith in the one who created everything as God is seen in His creation.
Faith in what? What is the content of faith for those that never heard of Christ that saves them. I keep asking and you can't/won't provide a scriptural answer ... let alone a non-scriptural answer. You have a non-scriptural doctrine. You preach another gospel of salvation: Faith without CONTENT. Those who have not heard of Christ, believe in something (you don't know what) and be saved.

Well, I tried.

Jer. 9:24 But the one who boasts should boast in this, that he understands and knows Me— that I am Yahweh, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things.
For the person who never heard of Christ ... let him boast in NOTHING for he cannot understand and know God.

Did you climb back into your mothers womb and become reborn again?
No: after my old self was killed on the cross with Jesus, and buried with Jesus, it was raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." (Rom 6:3-6)
"For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Rom 6:7)
I am free from sin.

No: after my old self was killed on the cross with Jesus, and buried with Jesus, it was raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
So, you are saying you literally died on a cross like Jesus and He raised you from the dead so you can walk in a new life? Please show me that in scripture?

I'm sorry Hopeful as what you are being taught by others doesn't even come close to lining up with scripture as I say this sincerely being concerned for your very soul. You seem to reject all the scriptures we have been giving you.

Seriously asking me faith in what before Christ!!! Here we are on page 53 and I think I have explained this many times over and over in this thread. If you can't understand Romans 1:20 then I do not know what more I could say.

God and Jesus has always been even before the foundation of the world revealing them self from generation to generation. Man is without excuse as Jesus tasted death for everyone, but the same from generation to generation have hardened their hearts and walk in darkness full of iniquity, and even though Jesus tasted death for them, He will also damn them in judgement whoever does not turn back to Him.

The Jews received the promise of a Messiah.
If they believed this and looked ahead to him, they were saved.
This is the faith that saved them.
P.S. Hey everyone, this person may have me on ignore so he may not receive this message.

I am free from sin.
You wrote...
"For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Rom 6:7) I am free from sin.

Are you truly dead? Are you writing from the grave?

So, you are saying you literally died on a cross like Jesus and He raised you from the dead so you can walk in a new life? Please show me that in scripture?
Yes, and here are the scriptures again..."Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." (Rom 6:3-6)
I'll add Col 2:11-12..."In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."
And Gal 5:24..."And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."
And 1 Peter 4:1..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;"
I'm sorry Hopeful as what you are being taught by others doesn't even come close to lining up with scripture as I say this sincerely being concerned for your very soul. You seem to reject all the scriptures we have been giving you.
Doesn't that mean that what you were taught has allowed sin to tag along in your new life?
If what I believe has allowed me to live without sinning, and what you believe didn't free you from sinning...whose soul is really in danger here?

You wrote...
"For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Rom 6:7) I am free from sin.

Are you truly dead? Are you writing from the grave?
Not me, but Christ in me.
Like Paul in Gal 2:20..."I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
This vessel of the Holy Ghost on earth now was quickened (made alive) by the Spirit of God, as Rom 8:11 says..."But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

Yes Christ did taste death for every man just as Heb 2:9 states, and for every man He tasted death for, by it He became the Captain of their Salvation Heb 2:9-10

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

The every man in Vs 9 is the their in Vs 10 !

Christ is the Captain of their Salvation via His suffering unto death for them. See the death of Christ effects the full Salvation of all for whom He died or tasted death for. This means if any man is never saved or comes into the realization of their Salvation, then its impossible for Christ to have tasted death for them, lest we conclude that His death was ineffectual to that end.

Then why did you write "I am free from sin" when you meant "not me, but Christ in me"?

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
Thus, all those who have not heard of Christ are condemned. Thus, Christ did not die for everyone in a practical sense at a minimum or He did so in vain ... God's will thereby being frustrated by man.

Although knowledge of God is available to all (Romans 1:20) ... no one who has not heard of Christ gives a rats pa-too-tee. Romans 1:21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.”

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Thus, all those who have not heard of Christ are condemned. Thus, Christ did not die for everyone in a practical sense at a minimum or He did so in vain ... God's will thereby being frustrated by man.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Thus, all those who have not heard of Christ are condemned. Thus, Christ did not die for everyone in a practical sense at a minimum or He did so in vain ... God's will thereby being frustrated by man.

Acts 10:2 [Cornelius was] a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God. Yet he was NOT SAVED until Peter came and explained the gospel of Christ was attested to in Acts 10:44-48.

Romans 10:14 But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)? 15 And how will they preach unless they are commissioned and sent [for that purpose]? Just as it is written and forever remains written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
Salvation comes to people by the preaching of the word which contains Christ.

Ephesians 2:11 Therefore, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, who are called “Uncircumcision” by those who called themselves “Circumcision,” [itself a mere mark] which is made in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God. 13 But now [at this very moment] in Christ Jesus you who once were [so very] far away [from God] have been brought near [b]by the blood of Christ. AMP
Those without knowledge of Christ are WITHOUT HOPE. Thus, all those who have not heard of Christ are condemned. Thus, Christ did not die for everyone in a practical sense at a minimum or He did so in vain ... God's will thereby being frustrated by man.

I asked if you literally died on a cross and was raised from the dead and you said yes!!! Wow, you are the only person I have ever heard of that was literally hung on a cross and died and God raised you from the dead. I thought Jesus was the only one that died on the cross and that God raised Him from the dead.

See how foolish this is in what you believe happened to you. Flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God and that is why we have to be Spiritually born again from above where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Flesh is flesh and spirit/soul is Spiritually made new again and in no way are the same.

Then why did you write "I am free from sin" when you meant "not me, but Christ in me"?
We are one, as Jesus prayed we would be in John 17:11..."And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are."

I must also be the only one you know of that doesn't commit sin.
The opportunity to follow suit is still on the table for you.

The old "me" was of Adam's seed, but the new "me" is of God's seed.
It is written..."For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (Gal 3:27)
It isn't "my" skin and bones anymore.

I must also be the only one you know of that doesn't commit sin.
Premise 1: A sin would be to misrepresent God
Premise 2: Hopeful never sins
Conclusion 1: Hopeful gives us INFALLIBLE interpretations of God's word and his conclusions must be followed by those who wish to follow God more faithfully. (Aside: A 'super' pope so to speak)
Conclusion 2: All living people who, like Hopeful, no longer sin also have INFALLIBLE interpretations of God's word and must be in 100% agreement with Hopeful and others who no longer sin.
Conclusion 3: At the moment Hopeful commenced a sinless life, he has never changed any statement about God for a contradictory statement would mean one statement is wrong which cannot be as a misrepresentation of God would be a sin.

Aside: I have too much time on my hands :dancing

Can you elaborate a bit with that?
Sin represents the devil.
Premise 2: Hopeful never sins
Correct, to the praise and glory of God.
Conclusion 1: Hopeful gives us INFALLIBLE interpretations of God's word and his conclusions must be followed by those who wish to follow God more faithfully.
I don't know about infallible, but I certainly never "give" anything that would accommodate sin.
(Aside: A 'super' pope so to speak)
How can you find humor in such an important topic?
Conclusion 2: All living people who, like Hopeful, no longer sin also have INFALLIBLE interpretations of God's word and must be in 100% agreement with Hopeful and others who no longer sin.
If you consider that my words are infallible, why don't you "get on board"?
Conclusion 3: At the moment Hopeful commenced a sinless life, he has never changed any statement about God for a contradictory statement would mean one statement is wrong which cannot be as a misrepresentation of God would be a sin.
As "my statements" have pretty much always been supported with scripture, it is then the bible that is never wrong or contradictory.

Aside: I have too much time on my hands
As long as you are searching for the truth that Jesus said could make you free, (John 8:32-34), it isn't a waste of time.

Re: Premise 1: A sin would be to misrepresent God

It is a sin IMO to represent God's word incorrectly. For example, God says He is all knowing and if one says God does not know the future as Open Theists propose (they say because it is impossible to know) .... then one is sinning by saying something about God that is incorrect assuming the Open Theists are incorrect.

How can you find humor in such an important topic?
Was not meant to be humor. A pope is, in theory, one who interprets the Bible infallibly in certain circumstances. Whereas, you being sinless per premise #2 are better than a pope in that you never would interpret scripture incorrectly ... thus you are, in theory, superior to the pope in interpretive skills and I think the adjective 'super' is a fitting word.

If you consider that my words are infallible, why don't you "get on board"?
Well, because I don't believe premise #2 (you are sinless) (1 John 1:8) and thus the conclusions are unfounded IMO. But, logically, if one believes premise 1 and 2 are true then I agree, all should get 'on board' and follow your lead.

Thanks: that is something I agree with.

"Certain circumstances"?
That isn't infallibility.

I fail to connect "complete obedience to God" with "the ability to interpret scripture perfectly".
Even the new Christian can be perfectly obedient to the One who saves them, but we all grow in grace and knowledge every day (hopefully).
There are things I prayed to understand for years, before I was gifted with the revelations that "filled in the gaps".
Well, because I don't believe premise #2 (you are sinless) (1 John 1:8) and thus the conclusions are unfounded IMO. But, logically, if one believes premise 1 and 2 are true then I agree, all should get 'on board' and follow your lead.
Not "my" lead, but Jesus Christ's lead.
And Paul's lead..."Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

BTW, 1 John 1:6, 8, and 10, apply to those who walk in darkness, sin, as per Proverbs 4:19, not those who walk in the light...which is God.
Verses 5, 7, and 9 do apply to those who walk in the light.
Verse 9 being the initial step to begin walking in God, the light.
That all lines up with Peters Acts 2:38 commands..."Repent, (verse 9 of 1 John), and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, (Verse 7 of 1 John), and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
