Maybe now is a good time to steer this back to the original topic. I'll admit that I didn't help in sidetracking it. This thread was intended to talk about modern teachers who are teaching in truth; that we give our suggestions.

I mention Hanegraaff --> this person is frowned upon --> example given of him "affirming the Catholic church" --> discussion all about Catholicism.

Let's get back to topic. :yes

Not agreed. I am not confused over this. Those who say "justified by faith alone" defy James 2:24, and make St. Paul contradict St. James in Scripture, and this is clearly IMPOSSIBLE. Martin Luther himself tried to FOOL people and get around this by questioning whether or not James is Scripture, because it questioned his "Lutheran" doctrine of "sola fide" (by faith alone). Luther was questioning some of the dead works (traditons of me) he saw in Roman Catholicism, which came in the name of good works, such as papal indulgences, so Luther came to question all works, all good works, and though Paul taught faith alone. Not at all. It is clear: SCRIPTURE CANNOT CONTRADICT ITSELF. But if you say "by faith alone", YOU CONTRADICT JAMES 2:24. AND THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. Do you believed both Romans 3:28 and James 2:24? Both must be affirmed. The "not of works" in Ephesians 2:8-9 means not of "the works of the law", that is, circumcision, Jewish dietary kosher laws, animal sacrifices, but not without all works, all Christian good works, which are prepared beforehand by God Himself,which God specifies in Eph. 2:10. Please make a thread on how Christians are Justified by works and I'll give you my exposition of your James 2:24 proof texts again. It may be against the forums Statement of Faith but I'm sure they will allow some leniency to clarify your confusion.

Dear Strangelove, I am not interested in anything that speaks against Eastern Orthodoxy. John 15:26 clearly proves the truthfulness of Orthodox Christians to me. That and so many other verses where the Protestants defy Orthodoxy such as James 2:24 and John 17:15 and Matthew 1:25 and Ezekiel 44:1-2 and Romans 3:38. What I have been saying is the truth. Perhaps you will be aware that PERHAPS most Protestants say "FILOQUE" and the Son. Those who agree with Eastern Orthodoxy in regard to John 15:26 receive an ETERNAL MEMORY and are blessed of GOD. The Eastern Orthodox liturgy defends itself. It begins with an acknowledgement of God in His Sovereignty, "Blessed is the kingdom of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and forever and unto the ages of ages." Attend a Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox Church before you reject Orthodoxy without any reason from Scripture. Orthodoxy teaches Scripture, and Scripture teaches Orthodoxy. To say that it DOESN'T is to MISUNDERSTAND AND TO TWIST SCRIPTURE (2 Peter 3:16, cf. KJV, ESV, NIV, NASB, NKJV, ONT, etc.).
Anyone who has a heart for God can experience the beauty of worship "in Spirit and in truth". You will not find anything so beautiful ON EARTH as attending even once an Eastern Orthodox liturgy. It brings people to Christ and brings happy feelings into the heart. It reveres and sings the Scriptures and chants all the prayers, and the soul sings unto God, and it is all very blessed. I need to get back to Church which is all I am required to do. I only mention Orthodoxy in words because I desire people also to have the same EXPERIENCES I have had the few times I have actually been at a Russian Orthodox Church liturgy. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. PS I am going to take a break from posting for a while, so I will not for a while be responding to your concerns, nor concerned for your defense of Protestantism or Catholicism, or concerned if you choose to say things against Eastern Orthodoxy. I need to actually become Orthodox Christian because it can't remain just words. I need Orthodox sacraments, and I need to do more things and if I need words, I will continue to write the book I am working on regarding the FILIOQUE from the writings of St. Photios the Great. May GOD BLESS YOU all as you search for the Truth the Holy Spirit imparts unto the penitent in Christ (John 16:13). Amen.
