Red certainly has faultlessly good quality hard rock.

Some of the Christian lyrics by Red are clearer than others, of course.

Blessings.

But I do hear profound things and do consider matters greater than me. How may I hear Your voice and command my fluttering heart to be still and to know that You are God.

Calm and quiet my soul, like a weaned child. Lord, I believe. Help me in my unbelief. I want to be like you that others may See You as they look upon me and I know this is a work of peace, done in a place of peace.

Cause me to be still before You, O Lord. That I may hear Your voice.

This song is about purity and waiting for God's gift

Good, hard rock opening, with subsequently subdued background to female vocalist.

Is Soul Eater specifically a Christian band, do you know?

Blessings.
Pft, no. Soul Eater is an anime I recently got into. (My current avatar is a gif taken from one of the episodes.) The songs officially used in the series, including the English dub of the series, are Japanese ones. This is a fandub with the lyrics translated into English.
FUNimation only started dubbing the opening and ending songs more recently, to my understanding, and I think they can't unless they get permission from the original band. So when there's no way to get an official English dub of anime music, fandubs are the next best thing.

Okay. Actually after I posted, I did wonder whether it would be something like this. Seems anyway like it combines your artistic persuasion with the fact you've grown up into a hard rock inclined woman. It was definitely hard rock at the opening, anyway, with it becoming more subdued afterwards. Blessings.

Yeah. Can't help but like the music in a lot of anime I watch. Seems like it can have quite a variety of music, too. I have an album with music from FMA that I bought off iTunes last year. It was just instrumental music, though, and mostly music themes played during the episodes. It did have an instrumental version of one of the opening songs.
I bought a few individual songs off albums containing anime music, too. But they're in Japanese, so I tend to prefer well-done fandubs if they're available.
Hm...one of the (dub) voice actors in FMA also sings and has done a cover of a few of the songs from the animes he's voice acted in. But most of them don't seem to be available on iTunes. I have a few of them that are.

I think most anime music is J-pop, but I like it anyways.

Okay.

Anyway, while anime has various styles of music, and while you said you like other types of Christian music also, it seems like you've sort of discovered that hard rock is really you, so to speak, if I'm not mistaken.

(And I think you said it was your mom that bought you the Skillet CD with hard rock tracks.)

Blessings.

I keep going back to it, yes, and it is one of the genres I listen to the most. I do like a wide variety of music, though.

Fandub of first opening from Soul Eater, "Resonance".

Not the best fandub I've ever heard, but the translation was helpful. And even though when I was watching the series English subtitles were provided during the opening song, it wasn't all that helpful. This translation made it easier to understand the meaning of the song, and in that light it makes so much sense that this was the show's first opening song.

I originally intended to post a video someone did puting a fandub with the same English lyrics onto the opening footage, but then I remembered that one part of said opening footage isn't appropriate for this site...

Well, interesting.

I don't know, but this track seemed just a bit different; the word weird even came to mind. (I don't know if this is the right word?)

Blessings.
