god sometimes allows us to be hurt. he did lead his own son into temptation, jesus fasted and was lead to go to the wilderness where satan was tempting him. I want to be clear. god lead his son to the place where satan came along to tempt and god allowed that. we may be lead to a place where god wants us but satan also will be there. do we then not go? that is my point.
ever think that atheist is there not to be saved but to teach you something and just irritates you? or that sinner you try to help that uses you?
I sort've agree and disagree with this. The Lord chastens who he loves, as a father would their son;
Hebrews 12:6-11
6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.
7 you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected
us, and we paid
them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened
us as seemed
best to them, but He for
our profit, that
we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it./(NKJV)
God did not lead His son into temptation! Jesus was tempted, this much is true, but it was not by Gods hand:
James 1:12-14
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed./(KJV)
A temptation took place allright, but God did not lead Him into it. Jesus was but a mere man at this time.
You know, along these lines, I have pondered before, and you know what I came up with? After Jesus was tempted, the Angels came to minster unto Him, right? It reads as if they came to feed Him and so forth, but I think it is much deeper than that. With the Lord, we go from strength to strength. The Lord empowers us or anoints us to an extent for our task at hand...then we go do it. If we hold our faith and walk in the Spirit, upon victory, we get a promotion or upgrade. This is what the Angels did for Jesus. They came to upgrade Jesus!
