Easier to forgive than to trust again

I know this is complicated sister, but we have to get this, it's very important. Check this out and ponder it.
Romans 8:5-8
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God./
The carnal mind is enmity against God. It does not want to walk with God or to obey Him. It will lie to you and rationalize everything to you so that you will not obey or understand or to let loose of the worldly things. It will tell you that oh it's too confusing and so don't worry about it and simply cling to Jesus. Which is sort of a deception. To even take your mind (heart) off of God is to set yourself against Him. Does that make sense to you?
I watched a video by an excellent Pastor who spoke on this very thing. I'll see if I can find it so that you can watch it, he explains it better than I can, lol.

it's not really complicated edward. it is as Yhvh designed all , simple. and true.
but, man's way of thinking messes everything up - complicates things always in a bad way.
only when turned back to Yhvh in Yeshua by grace is everything simple again. simple and true.

all the preaching by all the pasters and teachers has just complicated things all the more, ever since the Bible was first written(the N.T.). (there's absolutely some multitudes who will never ever come over to Yhvh's Kingdom because they trust and believe man instead of trusting and believing Yhvh).

Oh, I know brother. the simplicity of Christ and the gospel is explained very well in scripture. I did indeed have it mind what you said about mans carnal way of thinking is what complicates it. It is second nature for us to consider scripture carnally though (as evidenced by all the debating on the forum, lol)...so wrote it like that, with that in mind.

I think it's only after we set aside the carnal mind and accept the fact that we know nothing, that we get the correct spiritual perspective and then are able to read scripture ans receive it's simple message. Thank you Holy Spirit!

You got me on that one brother, what is it?

You know, I was thinking (uh-oh lol)...All spiritual beings want worshiped. God and the enemy. The basics of this is to give them attention, right?

The Lord says, "pray without ceasing" This is good advice and we should do it.I try to do this, to treat Him as a friend. If I go to leave, many times, I'll say, want to ride to work with me Lord? or something like that. Even if it is not a deep serious prayer, to remain focused upon Him and talking with Him is a good thing I think. Chat. I try to keep the perspective as if He is in the seat next to me riding with me. It keeps me looking up, considering heavenly things and thoughts rather than worldly. Scripture says we are to do this too.

Sometimes, I'll get bad thoughts while I pray and stuff like that. I think we do or have at times. This is the enemy whispering into our ear. We are to take these thoughts captive and cast them down, right? So I do. And many times, I will rebuke the enemy and say to him. get thee behind me satan I worship the Lord my God and Him only will I serve, and so forth like that. A good thing to do this?

First instinct is of course it is. But consider this...Is this not giving the enemy attention?
Do we really need to say get thee behind me? Didn't Jesus pay that price for us and give us the authority in His name to already have this victory? I think He did!

If we are "in Christ" and Christ "in us"...and we are walking with Christ, focused upon Him as we are to do...is stopping our dialogue with Christ and spiritual focus with Him to give attention to the enemy and rebuke him even necessary? Can we not simply ignore him and remain focused upon our Lord in our hearts and spirit?

Get thee behind me satan? Isn't he already behind us? Jesus won, we won. Do not be distracted to give even this attention to the enemy? Giving the enemy attention is like paying homage to him when none is due...?

well if a thousand doesn't mean a thousand then what does twelve mean? really? that type of stuff.

not that Im above that, but that I strive not to do that. I have learned and still learning not to argue against a straw man. which is what that man did. amil doesn't say the earth is the best that its going to be under Christ. NO, only that Christ reigns from heaven NOW and is patient and will judge the world when he is ready. then the world will be perfect.
