Yeah... "mad" might fit some of those who are actually demonic and not human... ;)
People, when suffering from any disorder, often have their thoughts disordered as well. This is true, I think, even when the origin of the disorder is purely physical, such as chronic pain from a physical...
:chin Somehow I knew someone would pick that post apart. :lol Oh well.
This proves the marvelous-ness of the Greek language! All the different words they have, and how they are used just puts English to shame imo.
Some of what you ask is implied information... At the name ...
means...
Welcome to CF. :waving
I'm personally holding off on such a purchase since they are moving into being more than just an e-reader, with internet and additional options...and the prices are dropping exponentially. Even if you still go for just an e-reader, the price will be maybe a third of...
I don't know if this thread is in response to a thread I began http://www.christianforums.net/showthread.php?t=38862 but if not, I would like to join in?
Yes, you're correct to change the word "mad" to something more accurate, imo. Insane is a legal term, not used by doctors outside that...
[THE SCRIPTURAL DEFINITION OF CHRIST'S DEATH]
The Scriptures set forth the death of Jesus Christ in a fourfold way:
As a Ransom
As a Propitiation
As a Reconciliation
As a Substitution
AS A RANSOM
Matthew 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18; 1 Timothy 2:6; Galatians 3:13.
The meaning of a ransom is clearly...
Hmmm Yes, it does seem opposite in a way, I agree. We used to have them both imo... Saturday and Sunday off, both holidays (both meaning Jewish and Christian) for school etc... Our schools begin in September instead of January...and in many ways we honor at least our roots in Judaism...
Its prominence in the Scriptures
It was the claim of Jesus, in His conversation with the two disciples on the way to Emmaus, that Moses, and all the prophets indeed, all the Scriptures, dealt with the subject of His death. (Luke 24:27, 44) That the death of Christ was the one great subject...
A historian can't be a believer? He became one, by the way.
It's good that you weren't taught to hate Christian; I wonder why I'm sensing such cynicism from you then. :shrug
The list of "laws" numbering 613 are too long to list in one post (according to the TOS, I think). However, you can...
I refuse to take offense from your lumping everyone who is "not yourself" into one wrong bunch of people. You don't know me, nor my background, nor my education.
What you are saying to me is that God did not give those laws to Moses at all, but the judges created them and put them into...
Re: Children receiving Jesus
I personally grew up with "Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories." Bible stories each one, based on something in the Bible.
Well... as another said it well, anything we use to lead another to Christ needs to be clearly expressed. And as I cautioned with any object...
This is why it's said that a non believer just can't understand until they do believe... until they have the Holy Spirit within, experience the peace that passes all understanding, the Love of God, they just can't understand. Which is why I try to speak only about Christ and nothing else to...
God gave the laws... in the first 5 books of the Bible, the Torah, with Moses.... not the Sanhedrin. God gave His people all those laws and commandments...and it was to prove to them that no one could keep "the law" and they needed the Messiah to come.
IDK what you are talking about...
I don't believe in "coincidences" myself.
That your foot slipped could have been because of the pathway, yes. But that you felt sick to your stomach, that's not from the slippery ? path. Satan hates us, let's face it. While Satan isn't everywhere (he's not omnipresent like God is) he does...
Perhaps the organizations are different between countries? I'm sure they are somewhat different within the USA. I mean, surely not all were comprised of the men who burned crosses down here years ago, right?
