Bible Study 71 Days in Isaiah

Thanks everyone. When I studied Deut. I was so captured by all the events and wisdom. I would be so excited to go thru it again for more insight into Almighty God's instruction.

I guess if no one objects, Deuteronomy it is. :boing

Day 44 For us, the creation is a busy, complicated mass of man's efforts to succeed. Man looks to his own ingenuity for success (idols to God) rather than the Almighty Creator of all matter.

This reminds me of Romans 1:18-25. Especially V.23. "And exchanged the glory of the Immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things".

V. 31 is the famous "Mount up with wings like eagles" verse.

Isaiah 40 brings to mind a few verses....

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Pro_8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

Heb_1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Mar_4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Thank you Jesus :sohappy

Indeed! How''d you like some snow? We are having are "Nor-Easter" 21" of snow expected or more.

You know, instead of giving bonuses of 60-million-plus to the IRS, that money should be used with filling rail tanker cars with all the excess snows from the Midwest to the East, and ship it to areas that really do need moisture/precipitation. Perhaps this lack of forethought by our top government officials is an open display of not listening to our Lord.

Israel had multiplied mightily.. how many were come out of Egypt 3 million or thereabouts :confused

Deuteronomy 1:1 These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

2 (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)

3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:

5 On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

6 The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers,
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

9 And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

10 The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

11 (The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

Day 45 A wonderful picture of the Holy One of Israel caring for His people and creation. He even causes the earth and all it's resources to serve His people when they are in need.

I Chuckled when I saw V.14 "fear not WORM" lol worm defenseless and helpless, depending on the ground for it's survival.

V.4 Declares Who has done the impossible task of protecting Israel from their enemies..."I the Lord, the first, and the last, I AM He".

The Gospel as written by Isaiah :woot2 Glory be...

Isa 41:8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Isa 41:9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Isa 41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Isa 41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Isa 41:19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
Isa 41:20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
Mat 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Day 45 41:1-20

Isa 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Heb 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

worm = redneck description of some men, or so I thought.

This text from the 6th chapter always gives me goose bumps..

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

I've wonder if God's train (hem) of the robe is like the one He told Moses the High Priest was to wear.

Exo 28:31 And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
Exo 28:33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
Exo 28:34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

Isaiah 41:21--29-----42:1,17

Today our idols are not covered in gold they are covered in make-up, costumes, and lies. They are worshiped and honored with trophies and awards. Yet they are empty of any real value. IMO the worst idol of today is self....Covered in gold? and rotting on the inside.

Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Yet again we read the foretelling of Christ.. His coming as a man of war.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
