Bible Study All Israel Will Be Saved.

I have a deep love for the Nation of Israel and the Jewish people. This morning, when I was studying Romans Chapter eleven, I was riveted to verses 25-27. ESV "Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (26) And in this way all Israel will be saved as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob; (27) and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

Wow, I had never concentrated on those verses before today. Boy, the Word of God is new every day! I do have a question about this: When it says "all Israel" I wonder if that covers any of Israel who have already perished? Especially because of the mention of banishment of ungodliness from Jacob.

It certainly reminds me that I should not look down on the Jewish people for rejecting their Messiah and our receiving Him which seems so easy.

Another question that I have, at what point will their sins be "taken out of the way".

Who is Israel? What people make the Israelite nation of today? Did God have a future divisions in mind when Paul penned...Gal_3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

How many gospels are there? Is there salvation other then the Cross of Christ?

Gal_6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Our salvation is in the Cross of Jesus

I think I will wait until someone who is Jewish comments on this thread. There are so many different classes of Jewish people, Orthodox, and so on. Perhaps Jasoncran could shed some light on this. Your quote of Gal. 3:28, in context is, in Salvation there is no classification, we are all one in Christ. The classification comes before Salvation.

There is only one Gospel! Salvation in no other than Christ Jesus!

Paul says, about my text, is a mystery. There is a "remnant" of Jewish believers today. Gal. 3:28 says we are all one. The remaining people of Israel are not saved and that is where my thread has its importance.

You asked, " I do have a question about this: When it says "all Israel" I wonder if that covers any of Israel who have already perished?"

Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Act 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:

Thanks Deb, You are right, there is a division in Israel. Isaac represents true Israel, and Ishmael represents the "wild donkey" side.

Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Heb 12:18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

The Isaac/Ishmael division is more properly one of Abraham. Isaac is then divided into Esau/Jacob, and there is also even a Jacob/Israel division. The way Isaac represents true Israel is that's through whom Jesus came to us.

Wow Jason, you've got me! I would think that it would be similar to Christians. Some are really serious and some are not. A Jew who is orthodox is the serious one and others are just playing the name game.

uhm, not its more of view of the torah. the orthodox are legalistic in nature. they don't allow changes a lot . the consertive can be close to the orthodox or very liberal. my family ranges from liberal to close to orthodox. my cousin is close to orthodox, remember this. with judiasm, until the moshiac comes to restore the nation the temple or tabernacle cant be built thus the torah cant be fully practiced.

Thanks for this post.
I'd really like you to explain them, Esau/Jacob and Jacob/Israel.
I don't do a very good job explaining either one.

When will that be accomplished?

edom is a last name and so is esau. both that I have seen are Hebrews. i have twin "esau's" that serve in my battalion that aren't Christians but are of some Hebrew lineage.
