I'm not going to say one way or another about how biblical Christian bookstores are. Christians bookstores aren't covered one way or another by the Scriptures, unless they are within the church building and open during worship.
I love books and I do like to read a variety of theological opinions. If I could afford them, I'd buy books much more often. So, I don't have a problem with the books in Christian bookstores.
What I do find offensive, truly, truly and deeply offensive is this:
I don't really mind the kazoos and things like that for little children. I think they are just one more useful way to get children's minds absorbed in Jesus. The water bottles? The slippers? The mints? Not so sure about those.
I don’t know about these products, it could be seen as offensive, Jesus should not be mad to look like someone who is quit, He is mighty, the Almighty, not quit. He deserves respect above all and every thing in all creation, and is to be feared if you do not turn to Him in holiness.
I am glad that there are places that we can go to by Christian books and resources to help us grow. But I don't agree with things like Sunday school material packages that these stores sell, or the gimmick merchandise like Handy already mentioned.
You continue to bring up topics that will ULTIMATE offend the 'boodstore Christian'. Don't you KNOW this? LOL.
All I can offer is this:
What did Christ DO and SAY when he entered the temple and witnessed the BUSINESS being conducted THERE?
Now, let us compare that being MARKETED with HIS NAME on it to His attitude and behavior exhibited towards those that were making a MOCKERY of His Father's HOUSE.
