Artie: If your purpose is to come here and promote evolution and secular thinking, why did you come?

There have been many scientists who also have held to Creation.
Yes. My favorite theologian is Georges Lemaître, the Belgian priest who is credited with coming up with the idea of the Big Bang. Georges_Lemaître

I have not come here to promote evolution and secular thinking. I have come here to promote reason, logic and common sense. I have no other agenda. If we take Noah and the Ark as an example I don't care if people believe in the story or not. What I care about is that what they believe is logical, rational and makes sense. I share this world with them. If they don't think logically, rationally and make sense then there's no telling what they might believe and do as we have seen countless times. I'm just trying to make the world a little safer place to live in.

Why should the Lemaitre guy be credited with identification with Biblical Christianity?

But sorry, you reveal what your aim is: to teach that the Bible is somehow unsafe. Which begs the question, why then did you come here, if it's not to learn from the Bible but to try to undermine it?

What does that mean?
But sorry, you reveal what your aim is: to teach that the Bible is somehow unsafe.
And you reveal you don't understand. It is not the Bible that is unsafe. What is unsafe is not applying logic, reason and common sense to everything including the Bible.

I came here to promote the application of logic, reason and common sense to the Bible, belief and faith like everything else in life.

..but logic and reason applied to change the plain statements of Scripture about Creation are unsound.

The Bible says the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.

What does that mean exactly?
The Bible says the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.
It is the application of our logic, reason and common sense and wisdom and compassion and empathy and conscience and altruism and the Golden Rule that guides our interaction on a daily basis with our fellow human beings.

A: I'm talking about God as revealed in the Bible, not altruism and whatever Golden Rules that there may be.

And by the way, the reference to the foolishness of God being wiser than the wisdom of men is in 1 Corinthians 1.25, so we have no excuse.

I think 14 pages was enough space to say "Hi". This wasn't on topic for a long time.
