Awake To The Spirit....Put On Christ...and Cease From Sin!

It is impossible to both sin and walk in the Spirit.
I have found this to be true, too. I am also now seeing that God literally meant it when He said Narrow is the way that leads to life and few will find it.

Amen Destiny. This reminds me of a kayak trip I undertook one afternoon with my eldest son. I had heard of a narrow channel through this long island where we were to go. It was too long to paddle around. He checked on google earth and showed me that there indeed was one.

We set out and had some difficulty finding this mystery channel until there it was. All the bends were obscured by reeds as well so that you would think that the channel didn't go through. But as we continued up the channel, we continued to discover the path at the last moment. In this way we made it through to the other side. Looking back the channel was again entirely obscured by reeds. We had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

This reminds me of our spiritual journey. :)

That is what I am saying Samuel (and it wasn't very well written). We don't purposely do those things but, at least to me, they still occasionally happen. I can be very peaceful, thinking wonderful thoughts in traffic and some #%##* almost hits me, or someone is rude to me, or I get a phonecall from some telemarketer that awakens me from a nap, or the clotheshangers get all tangled, etc., etc., etc.. Oops...old man/old lady reappears. I didn't ask him to, I didn't want him to but sadly...there he is.

That was one of the things, I noticed when I was saved. I had an immediate change of character, I once was one of the fussiest people you ever saw. But now only get a little impatient, once in a while.
Like when my old back is killing me, and I am waiting to cross the road, and all the cars in NC seem to be passing. But it is still controlled impatience. No cursing, rock throwing, or the like. Just the wondering if these people have homes, and lives to go to. :)

Oh, I had my phone put on the "National Do Not Call" list, you might think about that. It pretty well stops the phone trash mail.

1 John 2:13,14
13 I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. 14 I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. NASU

Rev 15:2-3
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. 3 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, NASU

The victory that is in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, is the union of the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the root of David as testified in Revelation 5:5. This leads us to sing a new song, the song of Moses and the Lamb.

First as little children we are forgiven and know the Father. Then we grow in grace and as youth gain the victory over the evil one. The Romans 7:24 and 25 victory.
