Christian Female Dancers and Models

Yes, as is the same in a great many jobs.

That may be, but I have spoken at length about this very subject with more than one coservative, fundamental Baptist pastor. None of them could show me one single scripture that says we can't dance. Every single argument they gave against dancing was only an argument against certain types of dancing and it was something else that was the actual sin, not the concept of dancing itself. None of their arguments or the scripture they cited applied to dancing in general (even though they vehemently condemned all forms of dancing in all circumstances.)

Unfortunately the OP is too vague to really come to any conclusions based on anything more than conjecture, personal tastes, and preferences. Perhaps if he would be more specific on what type of dancing and why he limits it to just females this would be more productive. I mean, Classik, come on. Are you talking about strippers? Or are you talking about ballroom dancing and implying there is some question among Christians as to whether it's ok for men but not for women? Or is it something in between that is sinful for women and not for men? Can you cite some scripture to base this on (for or against)?
Usually the focus is on women when it comes to dancing.

I like Michael Jackson's talented dance style. Let a woman do the same...you know what?

I see nothing wrong with a female doing ballroom.

When it comes to Shakira-Beyonce...

I do not think there is anything wrong with ballroom dancing either.

Some feel that dancing to music with a beat is wrong. I've heard the argument that it's sensual. Okay, I could share a video with dancing that's definitely sensual (to the song Sexy and I Know It) (don't judge me too harshly, :lol I came across the video because it was a cosplay skit), but it certainly doesn't have to be like that.

As a career, you know. So should Christian girls take a dancing contract and stuff like that, or do modelling?
There's good dancing and provocative dancing. I am not very supportive of modeling because they emaciate themselves. I heard of a young model who died because she lived on lettuce and diet coke. I feel sorry for them- its so stupid. Despite what the fashion world may say- beauty isn't everything! and beauty is not pain! I

Professional models are programmed to remain very, very thin.Their careers are short lived since they want them young.

As with all things, it's what's in the heart. Is she dancing to get men to stuff dollar bills down her underwear, or dancing unto the Lord?

Psalm 149:3
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp./

Psalm 150:4
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs./

Ecclesiastes 3:4
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;/

"There are shortcuts to Happiness, and dancing is one of them" (unknown)

I see you and your friend Claudya trying to give me headache. LOL.

Well. It is usually not a problem with men doing modelling or dancing.

There is probably nothing sexy with being male dancer or model.

It all depends on what you are doing in the modeling and dancing. Is it something that is pleasing to God?If not then.....no.

Really?? Seems to me I've seen some pretty provocative Calvin Klein ads.

Oh, but don't forget us girls like guys. We may not be as visually stimulated, but we do see things we like.:halo

Oh, come on girls, hehe, I think that women are just as driven by their sensual impulses as men are, perhaps moreso. The thing is...their not allowed to show it and have been conditioned to act all innocent and wholesome. The're only human.

In the privacy of our minds, heh.
I've read that women are more driven by emotional aspects than visuals, at least in comparison to men. Like, a woman might be more likely to get off on a steamy romance novel. (Note: NOT an endorsement of written porn.)
