So then say somebody like me who has a strong immune system gets it. Would that change if I developed some health problems?
 
Anyways, it seems to me like everyone is still focusing on how many people the media says are dying from it versus how many people actually are. That's how it's scaring everybody.

Im guessing that is the same for the common flu. I'm not sure what the difference is between the common flu and coronavirus.

Millions get the common flu in America each season, hundreds of thousands are hospitalised, and who knows how many deaths. Most probably those more at risk like the elderly or people with medical conditions get hospitalised, same like coronavirus.

The symptoms are the same as common flu.

Here's the difference...
Currently there are 69,000 active cases of coronavirus...
Of which about 9% are in the hospital on ventilators getting oxygen.

Of the 76,000+ closed cases that have had an outcome...
7% have died.
Now this number is skewed because Iran is lying about their recovery rate...the real number of deaths is likely much higher...they have been caught digging mass graves.

Also skewing the numbers is India...they have no means of testing or recording and their hospitals are full...they don't know if its influenza, Corona, or tuberculosis. They are reporting numbers...but the truth is not in what they are saying because they really don't know.

So the mortality rate isn't 3%...its more like 9-12%...same as the "serious rate". And people are staying sick for at least 2 months.

Italy currently has half recovered and half deceased closed case numbers...and their critical numbers aren't reflective as they have started rationing health care beds.

Influenza doesn't have percentages like this. It's a cake walk by comparison.

Again, I didn't say that it couldn't be serious,.. but currently Italy is the one that is suffering the most right now. It's not anywhere near as bad in the states. My thoughts and prayers go towards wondering and Italy btw,.. but although a lot of people are dying from it, from my understanding, most people recover from it and it doesn't get that serious.

Many people take blood pressure medication... specifically ace2 inhibitors. (Especially diabetics with blood pressure problems)

This doubles the intensity of the Corona Virus... making it unlike any case of flu ever thought about.

I hope my work doesn't close. They are having us take extra precautions, cleaning the surfaces on our registers more often, and are offering extra hours (including overtime) for employees who want to come in on a day off and clean around the store
 
Well, it's official. Yoga class has temporarily been cancelled, churches a crossed Ohio are closing their doors as well. I wonder how long this is going to last. Especially since Easter next month.

I heard yesterday that there is one case of coronavirus in my city here, Canton. Well, Stark county.

This is a little disconcerting to me. I'm not scared of the virus (Psalm 91) but it sure will be able to slow life down if they start implementing measures to control & contain it.

Work is almost non existant so I have been mostly staying home for the most part but I do have to go out to the grocery store and so forth sometimes...
Just keep praying I guess.

Are those face masks that many have been wearing actually any help? I have some but will they stop the virus from being breathed in? ...
