Scripture Of The Day - CATALYSTS OF THE GLORY

We can see the oneness of the Holy Spirit with the glory in this passage:
"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

It is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Lord, that brings transformation from "glory to glory" into the image of God. As we spend time in the "presence of God" or the "glory" we are being changed into His likeness. This is the place of encounter where God's world enters into our natural world making eternal deposits into our hearts.

Understanding that we need the glory of God in our lives how do we access the glory? What gets us into that place?

Just pray for "the wave" of God's glory to come. What a great confession! Have you ever thought about believing for a "wave" of His glory?

It is the glory that will awaken the hearts of the people, bring many to know the Lord, and bring people into a place of real encounter with God. We are called to be "catalysts" of the glory of His presence. That means we are not waiting for an event to happen, but we are carriers of His glory.

I personally don't think that I can quote enough Bible verses about loving one another. After all, I look at the Bible (especially the NT) as one big love letter from our Father in Heaven. :cross

Romans 13:10 "Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fullfillment of the law."

Scripture Of The Day - CALLING IT FORTH

Romans 4:17 -- ....."God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."

Sometimes we feel pain from sickness. How can we go around saying the Christ has redeemed us from this sickness? How can we say that by His stripes we are healed?

God's way is to call those things that are not as though they are. And because we are made in God's image, we can also call those things that are not as though they are!

CHANGING THE WAY WE TALK

When God wanted to make Abraham a father of many nations, what did He do?
He changed the way Abraham talked. At that time, Abraham did not even have a single child from his wife, Sarah, because she was barren. So how could he become a father of many nations?

God changed the way he talked, How? By changing his name from Abram to Abraham, which means "father of many nations." Every time he said his name he called forth what God saw him already blessed with.

When Jesus saw the man with a withered hand, He didn't say, "My goodness! It is so withered!" He said, "Stretch out your hand!" (Matthew 12:13). He CALLED FORTH what he wanted. He looked at the paralytic and said, "Rise, take up your bed and go home!" (Matthew 9:6). He didn't see it the way it was in the natural. He saw the way God meant it to be and He CALLED IT FORTH.

AFFIRMATION:

I change the way I talk -- I see the way God meant it to be, and start calling forth my miracle.

There's so many great Bible verses on loving others so I just have to quote them all! :)

1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Scripture Of The Day - CONSUMED IN HIM

"...Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning? Those who walk righteously and speak what is right....their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them. Your eyes will see the King in His beauty and view a land that stretches afar." - Isaiah 33:14-17

The "everlasting burning" in this verse is not Hell, but rather is speaking of God. God is an all-consuming fire, and we are to become ignited so that we are fully consumed in Him. We are to become like Him by allowing the fire of God to consume all darkness and flesh so that we will walk righteously, speak truth, reject evil, and begin to dwell in the high places.

"The fire of God is the fire of love as well as the fire of purity; a fire that blesses and quickens, as well as a fire that destroys and consumes. So the Apostle John comes with his answer, not contradicting the other one, but deepening it, expanding it, letting us see the foundations of it, and proclaiming that as a holy God must be surrounded by holy hearts, which will open themselves to the flame as flowers to the sunshine, so a loving God must be clustered about by loving hearts, who alone can enter into deep and true friendship with Him." - Alexander Maclaren

THE MOUNTAIN WHERE GOD'S FIRE DWELLS

What is the answer that the Apostle John gives?
It is this: "...he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God..." - 1 John 4:16

This is the high place that He is calling His children to dwell in. He is calling us to come to the high place where we will encounter the "burning bush" of His love, which will consume and purify every dark place—igniting even the light within us with the fire of His love. You will become a person who dwells in the fire of God.

There is an invitation before each of us, right now, to come up to the mountain and ask for the fire to consume us. He will respond to our faith that says, "Yes!"

It was upon the mountain, where Moses stood before the burning bush that introduced him to I AM. It was there that Moses began his journey "to be the man who would set the captives free."
We too must ascend to the mountain of God to be consumed by Him and His love, so that we too will see our captivity overthrown; and we will be prepared to set the captives free. To truly love, we must become love and must be consumed by love.
"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples." - John 13:35

1 John 3:16-18 "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms (and mums) out there today. :yes In a little bit I will be posting a new thread to honor mothers everywhere since that's exactly what the Bible tells us we are supposed to do. And that should be all year round by the way.

Ephesians 6:2 "Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise."

Such a short and simple Bible verse that I'm quoting today, but it still has an awful lot of meaning in it. And not only that, but it gets directly to the point too.

1 Corinthians 16:14 "Do everything in love."

This is my favourite verse this week.

Luke 9:23 NKJV
Then He said to them all, "if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily."

I am trying with prayer to help me.

John 4:9-12 "This is how God showed love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."
