Did Jesus Rise On Sunday ?

you have the Talmud on a hyperlink? which sect? I tend to use the chassidics but all of them will be the same on this.

btw chag shameach.

I have it on my iPad. I don't know about which sect, but the beginning says "NEW EDITION OF THE BABYLONIAN TALMUD Original Text Edited, Corrected, Formulated, and Translated into English BY MICHAEL L. RODKINSON."

I don't know if that helps. It's published by the Boston New Talmud Publishing Company in 1903

The Great Sabbath has multiple explanations online on Jewish websites.

This Jewish website states:

"This Shabbat speaks of the coming of Moshiach, referring to the day of his arrival as the "yom Hashem hagadol v'hanora" -- the "great" and awesome day of the L-rd.1

orthodox, likely, the reformed nut weren't around then and the conservative movement was in its infancy. the farther you go back with that sect is a lot like orthodox. I meant to add Jerusalem or Babylonian Talmud. does that include the Mishnah?

Nachimedes likely said that

at least you used chabad.org

I don't ever remember reading about this thanks.

Do we believe what a doctrine of men says or do we believe what God's word says?
Gen 1:5 and God calleth to the light `Day,' and to the darkness He hath called `Night;' and there is an evening, and there is a morning--day one.

As I have shown from Jewish websites, ancient Jews counted a day's start and end at the first rise of the night's stars.

That's a little better. At least it's a Jewish website. But without a link to the article you're quoting, I can't check it out in context. Can you provide a link to the article?

Yes, it does have the Mishnah. According to the table of contents, it covers 20 volumes, so I think it's the whole thing.

Yikes... some damage control here. As a former Reform Jew turned Messianic I can tell you that the conservative movement came out of the reform movement. They were the reaction to the Liberal Judaism of reform minds. The origins of reform Judaism were long before even 1903 in america. Try the 1800's in Germany.
History of Reform Judaism
The first Reform temple opened its doors 200 years ago in the town of Seesen, Germany. At the inaugural ceremony on July 17, 1810, a parade of rabbis, Christian ministers, and political dignitaries passed under a chiming bell-tower and entered the sanctuary, while an adult choir, accompanied by a pipe organ, sang hymns in German and Hebrew. The businessman and philanthropist who had founded this temple, Mr. Israel Jacobson (1768-1828), delivered the sermon while draped in a black clerical robe. Standing behind a pulpit at the front of the sanctuary, the man who had also established an egalitarian, religiously pluralistic boarding school for 40 Jewish and 20 Christian children told the august assembly: "On all sides enlightenment opens up new areas for religious development. Why should we Jews be left behind?"
Jacobson's call struck a responsive chord. In the decades that followed, Reform Judaism spread through Europe and then to North America.

To the orthodox both conservative and reform are considered non Jewish. I hear the presbiterians are in full swing with the gay marriage as well, along with the catholics. What else is new? You are aware that Tel Aviv is a homosexual hotspot no?

I don't visit those sites as they are out there. a local temple here is that way. its out there. Idk the stance on abortion and gay marriage but I do know the rabbi isn't very big on torah as others.

Unlike other sects Reform Judaism embraces interfaith relations. Something I always applauded.
ok, so abandoning ours? we are the same with a muslim? we have things in common with a Buddhist which isn't really a religion but a philosophy.

of course, I know that but again if im going to use those that had the torah. I wouldn't go to a liberal one that has made liberties with it.

We must not read a 200 year old book (New Testament) forcing our culturally understanding upon it.

The Apostle's wrote as cultural Jews and The Early Church held to what they wrote and did not change Jewish text to fit modern interpretations of time and days.
I don't think so.
Jesus taught the Apostles and disciples to obey the Torah not what was being taught in the second temple period. That's why the Pharisees didn't like Him.
What Jewish text are you referring to?
Jesus said,
Mat_12:40 for, as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

Sounds like one day as in Genesis to me. 'evening and morning - one day'
Do you think Jesus was quoting the traditions of culture or the Word of God?
