Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Discussing the teachings of Catholicism vs Scripture

John 10:1 is talking about following Jesus, not how they came to know him.
Did you listen to my message or just read it?
Obviously, someone had to have told me about Jesus.
Why would I ponder whether he was God or not?
I remember Jack Van Impe in the olden days on Tv preaching the Gospel and telling people they needed to be saved.
That was early 1980's.
My point being the traditional message was never pointed out to me.
If it was, and maybe it was, I did not remember it when I gave my heart to Jesus.

I'm only going by what you said in post # 149:

You said: "There are many ways a person can get saved, I am one of them.
A person can get saved without ever knowing what the Bible says, without ever hearing a salvation message, and without ever knowing what an altar call was.

I know because I was one of them."

By your reply you never stated or implied that someone told you about Jesus. How else was I to respond to that.

I'm glad you cleared that up by telling me someone did tell you about Him.

The Requiem Mass also known as the Mass of the dead is a Mass in the Catholic Church offered for the repose of the soul or in other words, pray for the souls of the dead using a particular form of the Roman Missal, which is part of the Roman Rite as being the liturgical book.

In Roman Catholic doctrine they believe when one dies they go into purgatory that is a place or state of suffering inhabited by the souls of the sinners who are expiating their sins before going to heaven having others pray for their soul. This is not Biblical as when one dies then judgement follows death, Hebrews 9:27.

I already explained what the Roman Rite is all about in post 142

Roman Catholic doctrine is nothing but heresy.

Roman Catholic doctrine is nothing but heresy.

There is so much idol worship that takes away from worshiping God, especially when the Pope calls himself Holy Father as his audience bows down to him and only he can give absolution in forgiving sins. Don't even get me started about the heresies of the Jesuits that make up the controlling power of the Roman Catholic Rites.

I just want everyone to know that we are not Catholic bashing the members of the Catholic Church, but trying to expose the higher hierarchy that controls the Catholic Church that actually comes against the scriptures.

Chose you this day, the Roman Catholic Rites that make up the catechism, or the word of God for what Christ has already taught. Everyone has the right to believe what they want, but yet some beliefs can be very detrimental to ones soul.

This outdoor image became a place of worship where people from all around the world came to visit and they still do today.
Does this come from God, or satan, or just coincidence?

Worshipping an image on a window is idolatry.

It was on a building not a Church.

It became a “pilgrimage“ site for Catholics.

Contraception

The roman catholic church still takes a stand against this
Many protestant churches do not

"Be fruitful and multiply" ... is a command of God, indeed the first command to a married couple. Birth control obviously involves disobedience to this command, for birth control attempts to prevent being fruitful and multiplying. Therefore birth control is wrong, because it involves disobedience to the Word of God. Nowhere is this command done away with in the entire Bible; therefore it still remains valid for us today.[30]

Abused nuns reveal stories of rape, forced abortions

Another scandal is engulfing the Catholic Church. At a time when the Vatican has taken its most concrete steps to address a long ordeal with sex abuse and coverups, a growing chorus of nuns is speaking out about the suffering they have endured at the hands of the priesthood, including rape, forced abortion, emotional abuse and labor exploitation. Special correspondent Christopher Livesay reports.

What is the vision of Mary? Are you talking about the shape that appears in the window glass? I've heard of other people claiming to see a vision of Mary. My mother was one of them. But, the question that looms for me is, how does anyone know it is a vision of Mary since nobody knows what Mary looked like?

I agree.
A picture of Mary came from someone's painting I assume and so now that is how everyone pictures her.
The common picture of Mary is very roman catholic.
It's the same for Jesus.
We have some traditional pictures of him and everyone believes that's what he looks like.
I have a few of them hanging in my house.
Anyone can look at them and believe it is Jesus.

What does it all mean when someone says they saw Jesus and he spoke to me and saved me from something bad?
How about people who say they saw and spoke to angels?
Protestants do this as well.

Yes, the same is true for visions of Jesus. I often wonder about these for Jesus told us about when He will return. In Matthew 24:23-27 (NKJV), if I understand correctly, Jesus won't just appear to individuals; He will appear to all simultaneously. In other words, we will know.

"Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There he is!’—do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and omens, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

Yes, I also see this verse as saying the elect may very well see visions while awake of Jesus, especially to children who God has set aside for him.
Try to get them deep into the wrong side of the occult.

It's odd you brought this up as my mother, being raised Catholic, use to tell us of the tunnels under the Catholic Church she attended where there were graves of aborted babies from the Nuns who had sex with the Priest, true story.

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

YES, ABUSE IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH DOES EXIST, ALWAYS HAS.
But abuse has always existed in Christianity, right from the beginning when Judas betrayed Jesus.
Talking about Judas, you nicely side stepped my question to you about him.
Care to answer it now?

Many do believe those pics of Jesus is what He looks like, but scripture tells us different.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

The only visions people are going to see of Christ before His return will be done by Project Blue Beam holographic imagery.

chemtrailrevelations.wordpress.com - Forbidden Technology The Blue Beam Project

Conspiracy theory, you make up your own mind, but I do believe these reports as we have never seen these chemtrails before and now in the past couple of years we see them more and more in the sky. There not vapor trails from planes as those disappear fairly quickly.
