What is your understanding of these verses?
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
That we were given power to be the Sons of God/born OF GOD:
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
That we were natural, now we are Spiritual.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the
natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
That the last Adam is how we are all made alive, to be in Him now.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in
Adam all die, even so in Christ shall
all be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
That we were first natural, ( in the first Adam) now we are Spiritual. ( in the last Adam/Jesus Christ.)
That the first man was of the earth, to be earthy (devilish and sinning) and the second man is the Lord from Heaven in us now, if we believe and understand this.)
James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is
earthly, sensual,
devilish.
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is
joined unto the
Lord is
one spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
How is death swallowed up in victory ?
By knowing and believing that Jesus Christ has already given us the victory over the sting of death, and ovr the strength of sin which was the law.
Can not the mortal put on incorruption ? If it cannot, it does not put on Christ who is eternal life. ( as Jesus Christ is incorruption we need to put on now to not be swallowed up of death, and that IS WHY WE ARE given these instructions to believe in now, and we see that nobody seems to be able to believe them even though I am describing everything for everybody.)
Acts 13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
John 17:3 And
this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
1 John 5:13 These things
have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye
have eternal
life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
