Doctrine of the Trinity – Is it Fundamental to the Christian Faith

What did Jesus declare "From this present time you both know the Father, and have seen him"

  • Jesus was confused and the doctrines of man are to be obeyed

Mark 12:28-29,32 ...'And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but HE'

three persons is a "they", not a "he".
if each is G-D then why does the Most High say there is no god with Him? three G-Ds with G-D with scripture of the Almighty saying there are no gods with Him. sure makes no sense to me.
if st Paul was teaching a trinity, no way it would have made it past those berean Jews who tested everything against scripture.

You nailed it such a simple understanding?? Yet the trinity argument destroys even simple logic. A new believer exposed to this doctrine must shake his or her head and say like WOW
One God and three persons?

Only going to say this one more time: three "persons," one God. Each "person" is He; one God (singular) is He, because there is only one.
Gen 1:26 And God <H430> said <H559>, Let us make <H6213> man <H120> in our image <H6754>, after our likeness <H1823>:

Here is your proof of purposeful deceit by the translator to validate the trinity theory!
The underlined words refer to make, image and likeness. Let us, in our and after our are added inappropriately!!

Can any of you understand that in the original Hebrew these added words (plural) are not truly found at all, nor are they used anywhere else in Genesis. God is always referred to in the singular.

One of you moderators better pull this posting and soon! LOL
P.S. Is to be a trinitarian really a core belief and is it illegal for me to question this doctrine that I've proven makes no sense at all.
Remember folks Jesus said this not little old me " I and the Father are ONE"
If He said two persons I would be on board with you all!

In no way whatsoever have you shown those words are added. Bolding and underlining words doesn't make them additions to Scripture.

God is always referred to in the singular.
Except for when Elohim (plural) is used--translated here as "God"--such as in the very verse you quoted.

Again, you have proven absolutely no such thing.

Right, because "one" means only one thing--what you want it to mean. To make it mean what you want it to mean, one must purposely ignore a significant number of other passages of Scripture.

First of all, making such a claim, without a scripture address to prove your point is ludicrous. My Copy of Godś Word for man does say that there is no god like Him but that is not what you are saying. So tell me, will you repent of your statement?
Deuteronomy 32:39
“‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

There are not three Gods. That is a purposeful misrepresentation of the Trinity. If you want to debate the Trinity, then debate the Trinity as the doctrine states it, not according to your straw man.
three persons is three persons, not one person/being. i just dont understand how you cant see that, its the biggest elephant in the room ever and its right in front of you.

A rabbi ,said that it can mean a plural definition. Do you.speak Hebrew?

Said Rabbi didn't believe in Jesus.
So Jesus prayed to himself, I go unto my Father ,my God

You do realize If Jesus wasn't God he Can't be worshipped.

"I" is singular it means one, "he" is singular it means one.

Jesus taught believers to pray and worship the Father.

The Father, the Son, the Word, & the Holy Ghost are 4, so the 4 are 1, not 3 are 1.
  1. The Father
  2. The Son
  3. The Word
  4. The Holy Ghost

God is always referred to in the singular.
That's incorrect.
El (the oldest Hebrew word used for God, literally means power). El is purposely (grammatically) plural when stated as El-oh-im. The -im is placed at the end of El-oh or El-ah (an Arabic word for God) specifically used for the purpose of expressing the fullness of God by it's plurality.

Jesus said this not little old me " I and the Father are ONE"
Notice, Jesus says "I" and "the father" "are", plural.
Notice Jesus did not say; I am the Father is ONE.

Jesus Christ and the Father "are" one God. Just as the doctrine of the Trinity teaches they are ONE God.

The people of the Church (hundreds of thousands of them) ARE the one household of God.
The fifty states of America ARE one Nation.
The Bride of Christ is one Bride consisting of many persons, not many brides.
Etc.
The Trinity is not an illogical doctrine when stated accurately.

If He said two persons I would be on board with you all!

He did! "are" (εἰμίone, a plural verb expresses being in the plural). Welcome aboard.

1 John 5:7

The Father is God
The Son is God
The Spirit is God

These three are One.

What are these three?

  • One Spirit?
  • One God?
  • One Family?

Quit worshiping numbers!

Not "person/being." "Person" is used purposely to distinguish from "being."

One Being that is God, who exists as three coequal, coeternal Persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Father, the Son, the Word, & the Holy Ghost are 4, so the 4 are 1, not 3 are 1.

The Word is the Son. Three, not four. And no one is worshiping numbers. Either you believe in the God of the Bible as he reveals himself to be, or you don't.

Sorry it's 4 not 3! John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Father, the Son, the Word, & the Holy Ghost are 4, so the 4 are 1, not 3 are 1.
  1. The Father is God

5. The true light is God

You forgot one of many names/titles John uses for this one person Jesus who was in the beginning:

John 1:2, 9 This one was in the beginning with God. ...
The true light, who gives light to every person, was coming into the world.

"Who" is a personal pronoun.

6. The Lamb is God:

John 1:29 On the next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

7. Etc.

Context helps!

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
1 John 5:8
For there are three that bear witness in earth : the Blood, the Water, and the Holy Spirit; and these three agree as one.
1 John 5:9
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
