Does man have free will to choose salvation?

Scripture says that men by nature love darkness rather than light,

Jn 3 19

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Now does man by nature have a freewill to stop loving darkness and start loving the light, which light is about salvation Acts 13:47

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

I dont believe men naturally with freewill can stop loving darkness rather than the light !

The Scriptures are more than clear that ...
- man is born with an inherited sin nature
- man is a captive (slave) to/of Satan and his demons
- man is therefore NOT "free" to choose to believe in Jesus
and the Gospel
“And those who heard it said, 'Who then can be saved?'
But He (Jesus) said, ‘The things which are impossible with men
are possible with God.’ ” (Luke 18:26-27)

By adam’s consent to satan and the fall satan obtained a certain dominion over man, but this was conquered by the sacrifice of Christ!
As the disobedience of eve was reversed by the obedience of Mary! Lk 1:45

Mary consented to our salvation! Lk 1:38

Thks

We can choose to accept the Gift of Faith.
Paul became Christian. was he mindcontrolled or did he choose?

By sacrificing any additional beliefs that are contrary to the Bible, you can break their dominion over your beliefs.

What does this mean?

By Jesus.

Indirectly. Mary basically consented to God's Plan to save us.
Why do you promote indirect things, overhyping her?

Questions for you , I have gotten no answers for them so far .

In the genes is what you are saying correct ?

If so who put it in the genes ?

Today I invoke heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set life and death, blessing and curse, before you. Therefore choose life so that you and your descendants may live!

I do believe it, as some see the mistakes they have made, and suffered the cost of those mistakes.
They then vow not to make the same decisions again...like I did.
I thank God for the gift of permanent repentance from all sin !
That is a gift God gave men so they could, in essence, change their nature.

Is Christ the redeemer of the world?
Of the elect yes. His redeemed Israel world Isa 44 23

Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Ps 130 8

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Lk 1 68

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Lk 24 21

But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

Man by nature loves darkness and dont have a freewill to change it. By nature that's a condemnation, meaning man is condemned in loving darkness while being in nature.

Is the gift of repentance from sin a joke by God ?
Having been given a choice, by God, what makes you think He hasn't figured some would chose to accept it ?

Some people don't like their "sin nature", and will do anything they can to shed it.

Your assertion is not true.
I was in darkness, but opted to walk in the light.
God has graciously provided all of the people in sin-darkness, to leave the darkness behind.

Its not just my assertion, its scripture testimony Jn 3:19

Men cannot change their nature. And the evil deeds here are mostly religious evil deeds, self righteousness and false doctrines that exalt men. Scripture calls false doctines evil deeds 2 Jn 10-11

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Man by nature loves darkness rather than light, that includes us, you and me, and every other human being born into this world,we love darkness because we are born dead in sin.

IMO, God put a sin nature in Adam and/or Eve, and
this has been passed down through the generations
... through the blood, or sperm, or DNA, or genes, etc.
A British lady doctor told me that a baby
inherits the DNA of BOTH parents.
So, if she is correct (I haven't researched it),
Jesus inherited the DNA of Mary.
(The NT says He was like us in all respects).
But, what does it matter?
Somehow God gave the human race an inherited sin nature
because they were/are all sinners like A & E
(not the TV Network).
