[_ Old Earth _] Failure of the "evolution" religion

:o Very shocking how you will do anything to try to win a debate!
You do not win any debate like that, and in my case I stand firm on what I believe. It has been proven correct long before I was ever born, amen.

:Fade-color personally, I don't know what you are getting out of the book of Genesis, but it's sure not what I am getting, and no way are you going to accuse me of getting my idea's from any other source, amen.
I agree with the 7th day adventists about the pagan days because you can find out about them in the bible, and you can even learn about them from other people too, like actual pagans. many pagans don't mind telling you what they believe if you ask them.

I'm not a 7th day adventist,I'm not a Jehovah's witness,and I'm not in any religion.

I believe the Bible the way it is written and I have many Bibles, and I hope to get a Geneva Bible as soon as I can, amen.

I am a christian living in a pagan world, and the pagans do vote for people I cannot tolerate in leadership positions!!!
what do you think I am talking about?
I didn't realize that pagans followed Jesus. That sure doesn't fit the definition that my pagan friends have given me.

What do you think the Clinton nightmare for 8 long years was about?
So Baptists are now pagan's also. I think in the end, you are defining Christianity out of existance.

Get real, how can an atheist be able to understand scriptures from the bible, when the bible tells us that those who do not love the truth will not understand it?
If I mess up, use logic and reason to show me I am wrong. If you can't then the whole Bible is just guesswork.

Did Thomas demand God to show him a sign?
Thomas asked Jesus to prove his crucifixion and Jesus did. Elija proved to the priests of Baal by God sending fire down. So tell me how I misinterpreted this part of the Bible.

So now it's God's fault when people rape the innocent?
Not God fault. But it shows that either God doesn't care or God doesn't exist (or God is not omnipotent.) Now you may say "free will." However, if that were the case, God would not have send the 2 bears to kill the 42 children. Now how have I misinterpreted this?

How dare any one blame God for the wickedness in this world!
"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." (Isaiah 45:7)

So God says He creates evil. Tell me how I do not understand those words.

My Brother died of AID's in 8/2/1999.
I am sorry to hear about your brother. I wish noone had to die of AIDS.

 You have taken the scriptures out of context, and you assume that everyone that says they believe in Jesus are actually true christians.
Pagans claim all sorts of veiws. The Catholic church accepts the Muslim faith just because they claim Abraham as their father too.
( back to Ishmael & Isaac again)
Q',not everyone who says they are a christian really is a true christian.
Just like all atheists are not the same.
Everyone see's things and the world differently.
Most people cannot agree on everything.
paganism crept into the churches, and satan has used it ever since to
corrupt people, and to steal their salvation.
There are many people that would be totally appauld if they knew their church had pagan practices, while others may not even care.
I believe God is calling all of his children out of Babylon today, amen.

That sure doesn't fit the definition that my pagan friends have given me.

:Fade-color didn't you call some christian's who were martyred pagans?
so now you are saying that pagans don't believe in Jesus?
Why not prove why Santa Clauss cannot be real to all the little kids,o.k.,you might get a good audience for it!
The North Pole exists, and so do rein-deer,and so does snow. Midgets could be called elves if your around a kid with a high amagination who really wants to believe in santa.
Planes can fly,so why not flying deer?

Blue, I am a Roman Catholic. I looked at your site. I has the usual superstitions about Catholics.

Most people who think they hate Christians, actually don't know very much about us.

:B-fly: I don't hate catholics,I hope you understand that.
The roman church is not the only church in error, most churches are,and it's not one church that is blamed for all the confusion that we see now in the world.
My husband was raised a catholic all his life. He was an alter boy,and wanted to be a priest, but his mother a devout catholic, talked him out of it.
He was a catholic until 1993. A good friend of his,a former catholic hispanic man talked to him and explained to him why he left the catholic church, and my husband believed him because he didn't like the attitude of the priests or the ways of the church, and he didn't feel comfortable with it. I didn't know that they hate the christians, when they believe they are also christians. The Pope's may have at one time, though!
I am sure that you also know then, that the Pope believes in evolution, right?

:Fade-color barbarian, that site was written by my very good friend,Mary Ann Collins,a former nun.
I believe what it says because Mary Ann is a very good christian woman, one of the best.
She would not lie about a church she once loved so very much.
Mary Ann was a Nun,and she knows all about it.

I don't hate catholics,I hope you understand that.

You just linked me to a large number of superstitions about Catholics. It's not hard to draw a conculsion from that.

The roman church is not the only church in error, most churches are,and it's not one church that is blamed for all the confusion that we see now in the world.

There are people with many different errors in many Churches. Perhaps we can go to specifics. What do you think three of the most important errors of Catholicism might be?

I am sure that you also know then, that the Pope believes in evolution, right?

You think so? Can you show that he does? I can't. I can show that he knows there's no conflict between evolution and Christianity. I can even show that he knows that evolution is more than just a theory. But he has not said that evolutionary theory is correct. It is really not something he can do as Pope.

And I used to hear a lot of things from the nuns, that the priests would just laugh and shake their heads. They would, for example, tell us it was a sin to forget one's even prayers.

In many orders, Nuns aren't very well versed in doctrine. In others, they are quite well educated.

:B-fly: I believe the universal roman church is a false pagan religion, and I am firm on that. I personally feel that the roman church is the counter-fiet church, the false church pretending to be the real church, and I believe she is the Mother of Harlots. The harlots are all the other pagan churches who will come back to her when the religion of inter-faithism takes over.
This is my personal belief. I am not trying to offend you. Thats just what I believe and I stand on it.
There is a very good book called: "once A Catholic" by Tony Coffey that I hope you'll read one day very soon.
Mary Ann is very well informed and she does not lie!
There are pleny of other Nuns and Priests that have their own story to tell about the catholic church and they can be found on the internet and many have written books.
My husband was once a catholic and I believe him,and I believe the research we have done.
These things are facts, not super-stitions! Christians are not superstitious, and to accuse people of invented such stories about the catholic church who are christians is slanderous. Christians want a close relationship with God,so why would they lie about any church?
I don't know what you have heard, but this is not the first Pope to believe in evolution.
I believe Mary Ann. She is right.
I am sorry if you think I hate catholics because I believe their church is false, but thats up to you.
I cannot accept what it teaches, and it's best if you research this further for yourself.
You don't actually think the catholic church will tell on itself do you? why try to get your answers from it?

I believe the universal roman church is a false pagan religion, and I am firm on that.

Many cults oppose the Catholic Church. It's unfortunate, but many of them eventually leave and join more orthodox denominations.

I personally feel that the roman church is the counter-fiet church, the false church pretending to be the real church, and I believe she is the Mother of Harlots. The harlots are all the other pagan churches who will come back to her when the religion of inter-faithism takes over.

It's a common superstition.

This is my personal belief. I am not trying to offend you. Thats just what I believe and I stand on it.

It's O.K. If there was just one kind of Christianity, some people wouldn't be able to be Christians.

So far, all of them have misconceptions about what Catholics are and believe. Perhaps you can tell me about some specifics, and we can talk about them.

I don't know what you have heard, but this is not the first Pope to believe in evolution.

I'm just interested why you think the present Pope "believes in" evolution. What makes you think that?

And tell me about the Catholic Church and it's teachings. Perhaps we can resolve some things.

Most european christian traditions are derived from european pagan ones. Christmas, Easter, etc, are all holidays for gods that aren't worshipped any more.
You think the actual St. Nicolaus was a fat man with a long white beard. More likely the figure is derived from ancient european mythology and adapted by the early church so they could convert people. The early church was still very Roman at the time and took to assimilating everything they could to assert their power across 1st millenial europe.
But then a lot of the rituals your church performs probably date back to when your ancestors were living in tribes and wondering what all those strange men waving crosses around were getting on about.

I'm reminded of an adage:
Superstition brings bad luck.

I think this is the nature of religion. To convert, it is easier if you incorporate the previous religion. For example, when the Hebrews turned from polytheism to monotheism, the king took the spring festival which people really enjoyed and renamed it to Passover. Romans just took the Greek gods and renamed them.

:Fade-color barbarian, I know this is your church, and I hope I don't offend you at all,but I cannot be talked into trusting anything about the roman church, not one tiny bit. I have been all through it,and I have seen the many websites by catholics defending the roman universal church, and I have talked to many catholics about it.
I do believe there are good people who are catholic, and many of whom truly love God.
The reason I believe the Pope believes in evolution is that I heard about it on the t.v. and I believe it's also on the internet.
I'll check the internet again just to be sure, but that is not the only reason I do not trust the roman church. The list is way too long and way to wide, why I believe it is a false religion.
The veneration of statues is nothing more than idolatry, and praying to mary is wrong. The priesthood was only given to a jewish family and no one else. The romans were not instructed by God to be priests, and the true priests didn't wear black!
The fact that they also show an image of a man on the cross is bad. Jesus is not on the cross anymore, and Peter was against the teachings of the roman church, and God is above man,not man above God.
There is no place in the bible that records the romans being given the priest-hood,and when Jesus Came,He became our high priest,we didn't need priests anymore.
Dogmatta's are made by men,not God,and we know that the roman church was not ever the first church or the true church.
I have already gone over this many, many, many countless of times.

The veneration of statues is nothing more than idolatry

That's a common superstition. Here's what the Catholic Church says about it:

"An essential difference exists between idolatry and the veneration of images practised in the Catholic Church, viz., that while the idolater credits the image he reverences with Divinity or Divine powers, the Catholic knows "that in images there is no divinity or virtue on account of which they are to be worshipped, that no petitions can be addressed to them, and that no trust is to be placed in them. "

It's the opposite of idolatry. Idolatry would be ascribing perfection and power to something inanimate made by Man. Some people think the Bible is inerrant. That is a form of idolatry. Catholics ascribe perfection only to God.

and praying to mary is wrong

When Christians say the Nicene Creed, which defines Christian faith, they state their belief in the communion of saints. This means that we can pray to any human who has passed on and is in heaven. It does not mean that we worship any of them.

Perhaps you're begiinning to understand that many of the attacks on orthodox Christians are misguided at best.

The priesthood was only given to a jewish family and no one else. The romans were not instructed by God to be priests, and the true priests didn't wear black!

They didn't drive automobiles or use English, either. These distinctions are not important to God. The new covenant does not hold us to the rules God put on the Israelites.

The fact that they also show an image of a man on the cross is bad.

Many Sunday and Easter Christians are embarassed by the form of Christ's death. There's no reason to be. He died for us on the cross, and we remember this in awe and gratitude.

Jesus is not on the cross anymore,

Nevertheless, every Sunday, and every Easter especially, Christians celebrate His death and resurrection. It is the defining moment of our existence as Christians. You should not be ashamed of it.

You've gotten some of the basics of Christianity, but some of it still escapes you.

:o barbarian, you are no doubt brain washed!
No,we are not to pray to anyone other than God,in the holy name of the Son,amen.
And It's good you let everyone see what is happening in catholic churches, even though you believe it's right.
The holy word of God was here before the creed, and the priest hood was already taken care of with Jesus Christ as our High Priest and the only priest we need, amen.
Thanks for helping to prove my point, and maybe someday you'll look into the truth for yourself. Many are decieved because they love not the truth!
God is calling his children out of pagan Babylon, not deeper into it!!!

:Fade-color Q',I am aware that the liberals would have you believe that christians copied the pagans, but that is not the truth and if you keep searching for the truth you could find it. The first man and woman believed in God,and they knew God. They were not pagan at all. Anyone who knows this truth doesn't have to be concerned with all the lie's being spread by the real pagans,wiches,ect....
Many churches still have pagan ways taught by Constantine when he tried to mix the truth with lie's,and tried to call it christian, but anyone who believes the bible knows it is the pagan who copied from the christians, they'll copy from anyone. Evolution is one of the oldest pagan beliefs around but not every christian accepts it.
Anyone who knows that the first man and woman believed in God knows that believers in God were here first. Long before the bible was written out, believers in the one true living God understood what the prophets foretold, and knew there would be a savior. Pagans copied from the true servants of God,and the bible itself teaches us about the pagans.

For example, when the Hebrews turned from polytheism to monotheism, the king took the spring festival which people really enjoyed and renamed it to Passover. Romans just took the Greek gods and renamed them.

:Fade-color Q',Q',Q',how wrong you are again!
We all know that Passover was one of the true holy days written about in the Bible, and no way can it be confused with any pagan day by the true researcher!!!
Passover is an actual holy day that came from God,amen.
The Bible gives a great account of history and recorded the events and times very well.
No pagan religion has such a great book full of truth.
the Qu'ran is not nearly as old as the holy bible, and God already warned the christians and early servants of God about the pagans before Jesus was here on the earth and after.
God hates idolatry, and he is calling all of his children out of Babylon.
To you the rebuilding of Iraq doesn't mean much compared to what it means to us christians. I believe what Habakkuk 1:5,-6 has to say about it.
liberals will always tell lie's to decieve people so people won't want to be saved, but if you have no love for the truth, you will be fooled.
The last days will be full of lie's and deceit, but for most christians with common sense, the very fact that the first humans on earth believed in God is proof the christians were also here before the pagans, because God used prophets to reveal things to the people, and angels, and he also spoke to people. Also,it is by faith and God's grace that we are saved through his precious Son Jesus Christ, amen.
But even if God sent all kinds of messages to the lost, some of them still wouldn't believe!
Even in the very last days of the tribulation when everyone knows God is real for a fact, some people still won't repent of their sin, instead they will have the nerve to blame God for their aflictions, and shake their fists at God!!!
Be careful not to let your heart get too hard,if you do,you might become so hard that when you do know God is real 100%,you might still try to rebel against him. The more your heart is hardened, the less likely you will listen to God.
Prophecy is being revealed right in front of us,yet the lost cannot see any of it. They have been made blind by satan.
Faith is a great thing!
For the real christian, they can see what is happening now.
May God bless and protect all of my brothers and sisters,in our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
Q',just remember during the tribulation what I said, and try not to let your heart get any harder. save something for God when you begin to understand his side, and find that he really is alive and is real,so that when you do know, you might be saved.
also,do not believe satan. If he has told you that you have committed the unforgivable sin,he does that to everyone he thinks he can get away with it with. It's another old trick he uses.

barbarian, you are no doubt brain washed!

Christians hear that a lot. But usually from atheists.

No,we are not to pray to anyone other than God,in the holy name of the Son,amen.

This is wrong. You are conflating worship and prayer. They aren't the same thing. This is what Jesus had the Apostles teach us. It's why it is in the oldest Christian creed.

And It's good you let everyone see what is happening in catholic churches, even though you believe it's right.

As you just learned, there is no adolatry in Roman Catholicism. That's another of the superstitions you were taught. If your religion requires you to fear on the basis if ignorance, how can it be from God?

The holy word of God was here before the creed, and the priest hood was already taken care of with Jesus Christ as our High Priest and the only priest we need, amen.

You're stuck in the old Covenant. As Paul pointed out, Christians are of the new Covenant.

Thanks for helping to prove my point, and maybe someday you'll look into the truth for yourself.

I wish you could move beyond your superstitions.

Passover is an actual holy day that came from God,amen.
The Hebrews were polytheistic for awhile and worshiped more than just Yaweh (God). When a priest of Yaweh said he found a scroll that was hidden in a building for 200 years and just happened to be missed, he was able to convince the king to make the Hebrews montheistic. At this point, the Hebrews were worshiping the Spring Festival. I believe it was very sexual and there may have been some human sacrifices. (Yaweh in general was against most human sacrifices.) So the king renamed this holiday to Passover. Remember this was 200 years after Moses. Who knew when passover was suppose to really have occurred. So this made a good way to refit their new religion into the patters of the old. I will just note that there is no historical evidence for Hebrew enslavement of Israelites nor of their exodus.

So if you disagree with me. Tell me what detail in my paragraph is wrong. And if it is not just an opinion, I can show you sources that support my side.
