I know the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, that water is the source of life and that the apostle John in Revelation 22:1 saw a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb and God was there.
Further to this, we read John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. I am thinking that the water was not literal water, but God himself, the giver of life. from whom all blessings flow.
.
Again, let me ask you a question about verse Genesis 1:2. Since the earth was without form and void and dark, where did the water come from?
It's the same as asking about the gap theory as there is no absolute answer.
The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. God would not be hovering over Himself according to those scriptures you gave about living water, so again, where did the literal water come from since God is the source of life, not literal water. Drink the water, river of life is not literal water, but that of God who is the life giver.
Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Psa 33:7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
I don't want to derail this thread and make it about water as I am only using this as an example that not everything is or will be known to us, but becomes speculations and man's theories that have no Biblical base.
