Having our name blotted out....

Careful Jesse, the scripture says, "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!…"Galatians 1:8-9 NASB

This is a double curse God announces!!!!!!!

Jesse is not the one in error or the one that needs to be careful.

That honor would go to the author of that article.

You'd better be offering up scripture and showing where the Bible says sin is blotted out because the only "blotting" I see are names from the book of life.

Show scripture!!

Jesse, you are denying the very essence of Christ's sacrifice. You really need to work this one out.

the tanach has the words blotting sin out.

Quote it....

I can not see where it says that ALL of our sin is blotted out - where does it say this? All I see is the need for repentance for our sins and future sins, this is basic Christianity.

Don't fall into that trap, Jesse, of looking for a specific word to validate something. Sins were erased, removed, remembered no more.... and probably a lot of other terms.

uhm genesis it speaks of Abraham being imputed with righteousness, im not an oaser but we cant just say we did it and must be clean on our own. we can , I believe, walk away from the Lord, but its our doing not his. the fact is that we aren't able to be clean. we cant do that. to assume that we must have every single sin cleansed at death is to MISUNDERSTAND and UNDERESTIMATE the BLOOD and the Grace given!

They are if we repent of them, turn away from them, THEN God will forget them.

Read John.

All I'm saying is that sin matters and so does obedience.

If we aren't supposed to repent of our sins, then why even mention it in the Bible, they should have left that part out.

Jesse, do you know the meaning of repent and remitted?

im not talking about hyper grace but eternal security. if one is to understand one side of the other at least know the arguments. eternal security teaches that one is holy at the repentance and being made holy by the process of time , in that the old man is fading as the new man is shining through. this process is called sanctification and the first step is justification.

If we sin, ask for forgiveness, God is faithful and will forgive us....it's in John.
in Ezekiel its mentioned that a man can turn from his sins and He will not be held to those old sins and the reverse can apply to.

A New Covenant
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds[b] I will remember no more.”[c]
13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Hebrews 8:7-13 NKJV

No I am not.
What is being presented is a false doctrine of hyper grace.
You had better HOPE it is. Grace is not a thing less than totally hyper... Thank God!

Please stop letting people entice you with cute little "catch" words, making you think they have found something sinister.. Everything about Jesus is completely HYPER. Merriam-Webster can help you out here.
