It seems to me that gun control is working just fine. I started a thread in CE&P about crime rates including violent crimes being lower than they have in many years. Mass shootings happen sporadically. Islamic terror attacks in the U.S may be new, but no amount of gun control will stop them from carrying out the attacks. IMHO

We should be very aware that our leaders are just like any other person, with evil within them. As such, they should NOT be trusted when they ask us to disarm, or take away whatever little power we do have to resist, and that resistance is to THEM for what is 'in them.' Just as we would resist the evil in any person.

It is an evil request, to disarm and not to make a defense against evil, period. The lessons of history should be abundantly clear that leaders are always corrupt and corruptible.

An armed defensive populace reduces the potential for the control of evil men in power.

And of course, they HATE that. Why wouldn't they? They want to run roughshod and dictate to everyone and to have their populace defenseless and themselves, armed and unaccountable to anyone.

The real "mass" murderer's are always the people at the TOP.

Whatever little conflagrations we have on a lesser scale is, for the most part, retribution to/for THEIR abuses and mismanagement of powers.

There are never any easy solutions.

The answers of Jesus is the deconstruction or putting DOWN of ALL power and authorities and RULE.

1 Corinthians 15:24
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Those running to give up to and make more of any of the above would seem counter to the end game of Christ.

The Goal of Christ is to have only One Ruler "IN" the temple of man.

But there are always usurpers to this, aren't there? And not just "without" but "within."

We might learn to see that there are goals in the opposite direction, always forced upon flesh men.

And this too, I might say, is from God, in a bad way, in the hope that we'd learn from it, to resist our fleshly overlords.

There are no solutions available, by flesh man.

God has amply warned us that "laws" and overlords of LAWS, serve to create MORE lawlessness, not less.

Romans 7:
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

1 Corinthians 15:56
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

So, if we want to observe the end game with regards to the world of flesh humanity, LOOK upon these facts and weep. Because this can NOT be held back. This is the path that God has made, to destroy power, rule and authority.

It is an ugly ugly sight, but it IS our collective future as flesh humanity.

Things will NOT get better by LAW. They will in fact get progressively worse. Bank on it.

No, it's a statement of the reality that we live in a fallen world.

And it's the statement of someone who lives in the real world and is aware that there are bad guys out there with guns, knives, bombs, etc. who don't fear God or, worse, think they are doing God's will by murdering infidels.

Then when faced with a choice, both they and us, have chosen Barabbas over Christ. It was the popular choice, both then and now.
