I’ve had second thoughts about the gospel

You are begging the question. Of course no one can dispute those verses but one can certainly dispute what you think they mean. Show us where the unity in the faith is.

There seems to be just two class seen at this time period. One large group, & surely very little of what we might call unity? But united they all are regardless, right? (in satans camp)

Matt. 6
[24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

OK: I did emphasize 'time period'. And I believe that when it costs something to be a Christian such as the mark of the beast testing, it is then that we will see real unity with Love for Christ seen + His followers. This most likely will sort the ones who really Love the Master from those who just make a profession. Matt. 10:34-40

But please do not misunderstand me. All that mankind can be held accountable for is what God sends our way as I see it. But I do believe that this is mandatory for mature unity.

1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV)
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
This isn't what I asked for. Where is the unity of the faith?

My Friend,

Unity of Faith is believing in Christ our Lord and Savior and believing that if we do HIS will and obey his commands that the Bible reveals to us, and believing that by and through him that we have the hope of eternal life Jew and Gentile alike (all of us) united together without division in HIS Church and not churches of man made doctrine.

That IS "unity of the faith"

1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV)
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Division is rampant in the Church, there is no joining "together in the same mind and in the same judgment." So I must ask again, where is the unity of the faith?

You really make no sense, you start a thread that says "I've had second thoughts about the gospel" then say your looking for believers... ???
Remember when you said in one of your posts "am I losing my mind?" I though you were joking?
If you have been to all those places, and they don't have Bibles, you should do what you can to get them Bibles...
I meant believers in NON-cessation.
We distributed many thousands of everything you could think of.
Have a nice day!

There was great unity of the faith 1900 years ago when they trashed the NT way
of doing things, i.e. Spirit-led Christianity versus da much preferred man-led way.

But, they did have a split between the RCC and the Eastern Orhtodox.
The RCC emphasizes the crucifixion while the Orthodox emphasize the resurrection.
I'm told this is the major difference.

You cannot dispute these verses, I did not write them, the things spoken of here went away when the Bible was complete, remember when Jesus spoke ANYTHING, the Bible had not yet been written :

Ephesians 4:11-16 (KJV)
11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Paul explains here in verse 13 that these powers were given "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of fulness of Christ." this is the New Testament he is referring to, to deny that is to say the Bible is :

  1. Unable to bring us to the full "unity of faith".
  2. Unable to give us "knowledge of the son of God".
  3. Dose not contain what is required to make a "perfect man".
  4. Cannot bring us to the "fulness of Christ".
This verse is a full explanation of the scripture given to us in 1 Cor. 13:9-10.

To deny this is to say the Bible is not perfect yet the bible clearly says again:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

"That which is perfect is come" is the Bible, Not Jesus, he had already come to deliver the perfect revaluation of Gods Will, and he will come again!

Do you really think that the church has come to the unity of faith.
That we are walking in the fullness of what Jesus walked in.

Until we all are walking in the perfection and the faith of Jesus Christ we will need, Apostles,Prophets,Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers!

Untill every saint is doing what Jesus did we will need the five-fold ministry gifts.

So the scripture you used to explain way signs wonders and miracles is a testimony of the fact that PERFECTION HAS NOT COME YET!

Unfortunately Not...

No, My quoting of the Bible shows what that which is perfect is come actually is, and until people will read it use only it and not their man made doctrine, there will never be complete unity...:study

The only way one can attest that "that which is perfect" is Jesus in these scriptures is to twist it, and twist it one must do to make one's man made doctrine stand...

When we speak of unity of faith does that imply to think exactly alike? Or is unity the core belief in the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. Do the christian fringe ideas matter?

Jesus told Nicodemus He must be born again. Pretty basic.
We have some guide lines...

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Dont we grow are different speeds.
According to scripture some of us are babes which implys some are mature.

Does Sunday or Saturday worship matter
Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

does sprinkling or dunking

Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

does it matter that some claim tongues...

From Paul we get this

1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
AND this
1Co 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
I dont read this as double talk i read it as it is not THAT important.

Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

You are again begging the question, not to mention the fact that there is anything but unity in the Church proves your position is incorrect.

And yet it looks more and more like yours is the man-made doctrine. :shrug Jesus certainly is a better fit for "that which is perfect."

Okay, no point in arguing the Scriptures.

What sayest thou to the many millions of people worldwide who have come to the Lord
in da past few decades as a direct result of being presented with the glorious gospel,
the truth of which was verified by signs, wonders, and miracles?

Thou mayest claim that these were the workings of Satan,
but thou risketh blaspheming the (work of the) Holy Spirit.
What sayest thou? (Can't wait, dis should be good!)

Why dost thou write in the King's English?

Dost it maketh thou appear somewhat more holy? :D

Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Colossians 3:14 (NASB)

Seems to me Paul devoted an entire chapter to this very thing.

By the way, the perfect has come and it can be found in the book of Hebrews.
