The feds knew during agent Orange it was going to kill,our men,30 to 40 years later they now pay for it.
That's not VA. That's some ruthless general not caring what happened to his troops.

Things have improved since then. PTSD is now a recognized condition. The military is trying very hard to deal with it. From choosing recruits likely to be resistant to it in the first place, to training better, to giving troops rest time in secure places. During Nam, they drafted willy nilly, paying little attention to who had the temperament to be a fighter. Then sent them into battle with scant training, and helicoptered them behind enemy lines to force them to fight their way back. During WWII they were in combat for many years. Almost everyone gets PTSD if left in combat long enough. Multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq caused a situation for many, especially those called back when they thought their service was completed.
