and Luke 10:25-28:So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
So as Jesus said, one of the two most important things to do is to love your neighbor as yourself, and this means refraining from acting in ways that would place them (and yourself) at risk of injury. On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"
He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind' and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "
"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

Isn't that kind of unpleasant for people living in Iran or North Korea? The rulers of those countries seem to fear those who do right, and execute them in many cases.Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
Do you also think to yourself, "if everyone else is sinning, God can't catch all of us"?Dave Slayer said:Sometimes I drive 5 over. On the freeway, I go 10 over sometimes! If everyone is going 85, cops can't pull over everyone. :D

Well we all say America had Christian founding; However, many of the people back in the day did mob/vigilantic behavior in the name of God often times. Was this justified?
We are told to submit to the proper authorities - except when it goes against what God would have us do. That is why I (and many other Christians) don't have any problem at all with smuggling Bibles into places like China, where Bibles are banned.PeterAU said:Romans 13:1-3JoJo said:I think Romans 13:1-3 might be helpful in answering this question.

Romans 13:1-3 does answer that question very well.Dave Slayer said:Is it unBiblical to drive over the speed limit?
