Is Jesus God?

What is your answer to my question to you:
Why did God forgive all his (Arafat's) crimes, as you claim? And how do you know any of this?

Which begs the question, how must have Paul the Apostle looked to the believers when he had been murdering Christians thinking he was doing God a service?

tob

Guys, Jabhat appears to be a believer... from what I read what she says here.
Oh John congratulations. I think you first see it. LOL
Guys, you can call me Bahira. This is my second name...
I will show you Jesus and His Father today and even in the OT, when I will have time...
Blessings.

I think I told you that he died as a Christian?! He was converted to Christianity. He abandoned Islam and is in the Kingdom of God now. God imputed him the RIGHTEOUSNESS of His Son Jesus.

I asked the BIBLE verses to show that the Creator is Jesus. I know the Bible very well. But I ask it to show that to those who do not know our God.
John the Baptist in Matthew 3:3 came in the wilderness preaching of WHO to come? Jesus! “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”

Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD (Jehovah), make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isa 43:11 I (Jesus), even I, am the LORD (Jehovah); and beside me there is no saviour.

Acts 4:12. Talking about Jesus in verses 10 & 11, verse 12 states, "Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved."

Php 2:6 Who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Dear Sister jabhat, Jesus has always been God, John 10:30 I and my Father are one, or in agreement. There are not three manifestations of God, nor is there the Jesus only doctrine prevailing among some Holiness churches.
My thoughts. :wave2

"There are not three manifestations of God".
"nor is there the Jesus only doctrine".

It is interesting what you said.
Do you like what I will say now: God the Father is God. The Son of God is God. The Holy Spirit is God.
There are THREE Supreme Beings.
One of them is the Creator- the SON.
Three in ONE Group. The Son is EQUAL to the Father but there is the subordination in the Godhead.

Jesus became subordinate by obvious choice in my opinion according to Php 2:7 as He made Himself of no reputation. In that position He will ever be, and only elevated to the power He had once again in Rev 1:8 I (Jesus) am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty, but even in this authority Jesus remains in subjection to our Father.

1 Cor 15:27 For He (Jesus) hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He (Our Father) is excepted, which did put all things under Hm.

1 Cor 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto Him (Jesus), then shall the Son also himself be subject unto Him (Our Father) that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

To me, your statement as to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all being supreme God is correct. :)

I agree with you too.
Now let's consider why the Son has the SAME names as the Father.
Rev 1:8 I (Jesus) am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty, but even in this authority Jesus remains in subjection to our Father.

Could you show me the verse in the OT saying that the God's (God the Father's) name is the the Beginning and the End?
Meanwhile, we will consider the names of God...

I think I told you that he died as a Christian?!
No, that part was missing. Your post suggested that he was in the kingdom because he was murdered by a sniper, or something like that.

He was converted to Christianity. He abandoned Islam and is in the Kingdom of God now. God imputed him the RIGHTEOUSNESS of His Son Jesus.
This is great news!! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sister jabhat, I’m not certain I understand what you’re searching for, but one of my notes explain that the word “beginning” can mean the first, in time, place, order or rank.

As for the names of God, there are pages of them beginning with the word “El” describing the character, power, and ongoing work of God.

In Php 2:9 we read where Jesus, though a man will again have the place of honor and power he once enjoyed for a season, and that to be a thousand years. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.”

I read again in Rev 21:6 where I believe our Father again confirms Himself to the the “Beginning and the end,”

Thanks for your reply in Jesus’ name.

Brothers,
Let me remind that the MAIN name of our God is YHVH (יהוָ֣ה).
I do not spell this name as you do "Jehovah" because I analyzed pronunciation of this name and I can say that your English spelling is wrong....
Let me remind you that the God of Israel does not allow us to pronounce His name in vain. It is a sin too. That is why the true pronunciation of the name of God was
forgotten by Jews. And to avoid calling our God in a "Chinese accent" by a STRANGE and WRONG name, I think it would be better to substitute His name with the letters YHVH.

This name (the tetragrammaton) should not be pronounced and is often replaced by Jews with Elohim/Elokim- אֱ֭לֹהִים
or "Adonai" ("My Lord").

NOTE: Elohim (אֱלֹהִים) is a grammatically singular or plural noun for "god" or "gods" in both modern and ancient Hebrew language.

So, why the God of Israel is in Plural i.e. Gods?
Have you heard what is Shema? Sh'ma Yisrael (Hebrew: שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל‎; "Hear, [O] Israel") are the first two words of a section of the Torah...
"Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one"
But even plurality in the Godhead is recognized in this Jewish statement of faith of every Jew, the Shema!
“Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God (Elohim)- PLURAL!, the Lord is a Unity (Echad/one).

NOTE: This is ONE of the BASIC concepts of our FAITH in the God of Israel for every Jew and Christian!

Genesis 1:26: Then God (Elohim/GODS) said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness ..."

Isaiah 54:5: For your Maker is your husband. (Literally in Hebrew: MAKERS, HUSBANDS. בֹעֲלַ֙יִךְ֙ )

There are many such verses....

Why God is PLURAL? Because God said so!

Let’s consider the Hebrew Scriptures now where you can see the term Elohim (GODS) applied to two Personalities in the same verse. Psalm 45:6-7:

"Your throne, O God (ELOHIM-אֱ֭לֹהִים), is forever and ever: A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God (ELOHIM- אֱלֹהִ֣ים), Your God ELOHIM-אֱ֭לֹהֶיךָ), has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions."

Two Gods? YES!!! And One of them anointed another one? YES! NOTE, my dear brothers, the first Elohim is being addressed and the second Elohim is the God of the first Elohim. Lol This is the JEWISH Scripture and Jews fail to see it reading in Hebrew like we do it now! YES! We HAVE THREE GODS!!! This is what GOD told us!

NOTE: There are NOT only TWO Personalities of the Godhead in the OT but THREE! Two examples are Isaiah 48:12-16 and 63:7-14 (NKJV).

“Listen to Me, O Jacob,
And Israel, My called:
I am He, I am the First,
I am also the Last.
13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth,
And My right hand has stretched out the heavens;
When I call to them,
They stand up together.
14 “All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear!
Who among them has declared these things?
The Lord (YHVH) loves him;
He shall do His pleasure on Babylon,
And His arm shall be against the Chaldeans.
15 I, even I, have spoken;
Yes, I have called him,
I have brought him, and his way will prosper.
16 “Come near to Me, hear this:
I have not spoken in secret from the beginning;
From the time that it was, I (ADONAY) was there.
And now the Lord God (YHVH) and His Spirit
Have sent Me.”

(1) The Speaker is the one who is responsible for the creation of the heavens and the earth. He is God. Do you remember that the SON of God is our CREATOR? (See the Bible references I gave you above).
(2) But then in verse 16, the Speaker refers to Himself using the pronouns of "I" and "me" and then distinguishes himself from Two other personalities. He distinguishes Himself from the Lord YHVH and then from the Spirit of God.

In fact, Jesus says:
From the time that it was, I (ADONAY/LORD) was there.
And now the Lord God (YHVH) and His Spirit
Have sent Me.”

Who is this Speaker here? He is the SON of God!
His Father is YHVH and there is the Spirit of God.

But NOTE: "Adonai" is the plural form of "Adon", meaning "my lord". The plural form Adonai, like the plural form Elohim, is regularly used with singular verbs. But why? We consider this name as an “emphatic plural” or “plural of majesty.” But why does God use these names in plural form!?

Isaiah 63:7-14 (NKJV):

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord (YHVH)
And the praises of the Lord (YHVH),
According to all that the Lord (YHVH) has bestowed on us,
And the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies,
According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.
8 For He said, “Surely they are My people,
Children who will not lie.”
So He became their Savior.
9 In all their affliction He was afflicted,
And the Angel of His Presence saved them;
In His love and in His pity He redeemed them;
And He bore them and carried them
All the days of old.
10 But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit;
So He turned Himself against them as an enemy,
And He fought against them.
11 Then he remembered the days of old,
Moses and his people, saying:
“Where is He who brought them up out of the sea
With the shepherd of His flock?
Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them,
12 Who led them by the right hand of Moses,
With His glorious arm,
Dividing the water before them
To make for Himself an everlasting name,
13 Who led them through the deep,
As a horse in the wilderness,
That they might not stumble?”

14 As a beast goes down into the valley,
And the Spirit of the Lord causes him to rest,
So You lead Your people,
To make Yourself a glorious name.

Psalm 110 (NKJV): God speaks to His Son:
The Lord (YHVH) said to my Lord (Adonai),
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

If you think that Adonai is only the name of the Son then you are WRONG! Because the same God (Elohim) says He will have mercy on Jews and will save them by YHVH, their Elohim. As we all know, the Savior of Jews during the Third World War in Israel will be the SON of God then it is clear that His name is also YHVH and Elohim!
As we see, the term Elohim was applied to two Personalities. But what about the name YHVH?

Let's consider now how the Son of God is going to save Jews during the Third World War:

8 For thus says the Lord of hosts (YHVH): “He sent Me after glory, to the nations (ARABS/MUSLIMS/IRAN) which plunder you (Jews); for he who touches you (JEWS) touches the apple of His eye. 9 For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts (YHVH) has sent Me.
Zechariah 2
Yes the Son of God says these words!

Again, we have one YHVH sending another YHVH to perform a specific task: to DEFEND Jews during the Third World War when Muslim states and Iran will attack Israel. We know who is this God. We call Him “the Son of God”. (Read about the coming war here: Zechariah 14, 12, 2).

Ok, it means brothers that Jesus' name is YHVH too like the name of His Father.
Why THREE Separate Supreme Beings have the same names?

“Listen to Me, O Jacob,
And Israel, My called:
I am He, I am the First,
I am also the Last.

Isaiah 48

Summary: They -THREE Supreme Beings- have the same names in Hebrew and the same DIVINE nature and origin. They are not people...Aliens, if you will,...They call themselves by the same names and we call them in English by ONE name: GOD because you do not speak in Hebrew.
But why does God use the names in plural form!? I think to explain you His Divine nature and who they are and what they are going to do in Israel soon...

Page two: I mentioned:
Do you believe a murderer will be allowed to go free if he says he is sorry in a Court of Law?- My response: God forgives only those killers who repent, ABANDON sins to live a righteous life walking with the God Jesus. Such a holy man bye the way converted Yasser Arafat before his death...He was his sniper/a murderer...today he is a HOLY son of God.

His sniper Taysir Abu Saada is alive yet...

Sister jabhat, you might also want to consider the Holy Spirit mentioned as the Supreme Divinity God when mentioned as “The God.” You can read of an example of this in Heb 13:20. “Now the God of peace (The Holy Spirit), that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.”

Yes I know that He is a Person too and God. I know Him.

But look what my Bible says:

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13 (NKJV)

My interpretation of this verse: There is NO mention of the Holy Spirit here.
Who raised Jesus? In other words, who raised the body of Jesus? Answer: the God of Peace called the SON of God.

Why? Jesus said that He HIMSELF will restore the destroyed building- His Body.

Now let's look at Him who is called the First and the Last.
I explained you above that He is Jesus in the OT.
But what we see in the NT? You made a reference to Revelation, saying that He is the Father.
Now Let's know who He is....

I quote from the NKJV.

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
Revelation 1

Ok He is Jesus. Look at Him:
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.

Ok Jesus does NOT look like an average man. Why? He is NOT a man at all.
This is His appearance...He already showed Himself to people in such form...

Transfiguration of Jesus: Mark 9: 1-13, Matthew 17:1-13

Matthew 17 (NKJV)
Jesus Transfigured on the Mount

17 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

9 Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.”

10 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

11 Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. 12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.

Why did Jesus appear in such a form?
Because it was His appearance as He always looked like. How? Do you remember that God is Spirit? I.e. a Spiritual Being?

Vision of the Ancient of Days/God the Father

9 “I watched till thrones were put in place,
And the Ancient of Days was seated;
His garment was white as snow,
And the hair of His head was like pure wool.
His throne was a fiery flame,
Its wheels a burning fire;
10 A fiery stream issued
And came forth from before Him.
A thousand thousands ministered to Him;
Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.
The court was seated,
And the books were opened.
...

13 “I was watching in the night visions,
And behold, One like the Son of Man (JESUS/the SON of GOD),
Coming with the clouds of heaven!
He came to the Ancient of Days,
And they brought Him near before Him.
14 Then to Him (JESUS/the SON of GOD) was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away,
And His kingdom the one
Which shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7 (NKJV)

Why? Because JESUS/the SON of GOD is the KING....He is the King of Israel and our King.

11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

In other words:
But if the Spirit of GOD....of the GOD called the SON (The SON who raised body of Jesus from the dead) dwells in you, He will also give life to your mortal bodies.

Do not forget that Christianity speaks about the Son of God incarnate.

Why? Jesus said:
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
John 10

18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”

19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”

21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
John 2

The Son of God speaks:

Behold, I am coming quickly!
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
Revelation 22

Who is He who was and is and who is to come? He is the ALMIGHTY God Jesus.
And the Spirit and the bride (Christians) say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!”

Come Lord Jesus!
Amen.
