Jesus Is God: Part 1

Yes, I know all that regarding translations. My point was that in this case, not knowing the Greek isn't the issue. This is an issue of using outdated translations to make something out of nothing.
I think this statement about Rom 9.22 is very important to know the Greek. One of the Top Greek scholars today is Dan Wallace of Dallas Seminary. He says that in Rom 9.22 the verb 'prepare' is to be understood as a Passive, not a Middle. But Dan is a Calvinist/Reformed believer. In this verse, without knowing the Greek, you would not see man's volition involved in the salvation process. I am as far removed from a Calvinist/Reformed position as there is.

Sure, but again, that has nothing to do with my point, which was simply that in this particular case of "Holy Ghost," not knowing the Greek isn't the issue.

I have no reason to seek another teaching as I know the truth from the testimony and any alternate teaching that states different is a false teaching.

Jesus stated what the advocate was the "Spirit of Truth". The point was it was stated as "another". How can Jesus's ghost be another than Jesus Himself? You keep failing to answer these questions with scripture.
Answered this one in another post
Why would the Father give us Jesus's Ghost and why would Jesus need to receive His own Spirit from the Father to pour out? How about answering these questions?
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

.....

John 17:5
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
......
John 16:14

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

....

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man

Philip 2:7

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
As shown before Jesus was crucified the Spirit was among His disciples. How then can that be His "ghost"?
He resurrected in bodily form..He is the first..that would have a Glolified Human body.

and so that's where I agree with the article of the power of the resurrected body Of Christ.

The authority given to Him because He alone through the obedience of the father conquered death. HE TASTED DEATH FOR EVERYONE.

But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
The access is through the Body of Christ the intermediator between God and man.

The source is the Father not Jesus. The Fathers promise.
ok - my thought >His father's will was done. That is what Jesus came to do. Everything is made through Him, by Him, and for Him as in the beginning.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever
Another manifestation maybe?
— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
And again who is the Spirit of truth, and why is He called that
The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. So why do ask what is the Spirit of truth?
Because I want you to give me an answer

God states its His Spirit. In the last days I will pour out "MY" Spirit...
I have a question about this scripture..been doing some searching.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams.

>>>He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Everything belongs to God
There is no teaching from Jesus or His Apostles that Jesus's Ghost indwells us.

King James Version 1 Perter 1

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Maybe I'll start by this book Phil -reading this passage below and meditating on it:.

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Meaning?

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Meaning
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

meaning
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

1meaning

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I'm not following your reply. perhaps this is common practice on this site but it is unfamiliar to me. Also, your replies seem like some governmental bureaucrat who answers a question without really answering the question. I was hoping better from you.

Well your not going to listen so we agree to disagree.
You didn't provide one scripture that states Jesus would send His spirit or His ghost.
The scripture that speaks of the gift of God in question is cohesive in that it's proceeding from the Father and poured out through the Son in the Son's name.

This can not mean Jesus's ghost.
Father's promise=>In the last days I will pour out "My" Spirit.

We will disagree.

Didn't Jesus say if you could remove this cup from me?

"not my will but your will be done" isn't the will part of a man's spirit??
It is of a persons mind but that is irrelevant to the gift of God in question.
Free will the ability to make choices
The ability to know things, design, ponder build. Think at High levels.
How man connects with God.
Emotions.
Etc
I'm am free will. My will was involved with believing and receiving Christ.
I actually recently started a thread on that and hopeful said He had a man's Spirit and God's And I gave Him a like...

Sounded true

I don't doubt that they are some how one
but I probably couldn't explain it. A boiled egg is one egg but the yoke differs from the outside.
My family is one unit, but each has a spirit.
Water is h20, but the element takes on different forms. And how can that be? Why is h20 snow and h20 in my freezer ice?

Yes and how is that? Jesus came to do His father's will, yet He he had His own.
How-He has always been the Son .The only begotten like to like Son of the Father. His spirit is not Deity. The Deity that was pleased to dwell in Him is and remains the Deity of the only unbegotten true God. His God and Father. Col 1:19. So in speaking of the nature found in the Son He has the Fathers nature (God) He is God the begotten.
God from true God. They are One.
Jesus was before the world was brought into existence. His spirit is not a mans spirit. His spirit depended and appeared in flesh and His mind spoke of things He saw and heard while being in the Fathers presence. He is the only eyewitness of God to appear in flesh.

God spoke to us in these last Days by His Son. -The Father/Deity living in Him doing His work.
God brought all things into existence by His Son. -The Father/Deity living Him doing His work.
They are one as Jesus testified. The "Fathers" works He performed testify that the Father is in Him and they are one.
As Jesus stated over and over He is Gods son.

He has always the Son. A Son who is Called mighty God but is not the Father. Hebrews 1 takes pain to contrast the superiority of His Sonship vs the angels of God and it states about the Son in the creation. About the Son...
He also says,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”

But this does not negate God created by His Son as the very same writer states

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe
Again the Deity living in Jesus creating -The Father in Him with His spirit.

Yet none of this states Jesus's ghost was poured out. That's not in the NT. What is in the NT is that the Father sent the Spirit of truth, (His Spirit) in Jesus's name. My understanding and belief. I didn't find in the NT what you are proclaiming as truth in regard to the gift of God in question.

But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for The Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified." JOHN 7:39
But you know Him for He lives with you and will be IN you.
Stated before Jesus was put to death in the flesh.
How can the Spirit that was living with the disciples at that time be Jesus's Ghost? And again the source of the gift given is the Father. If its Jesus's spirit He would have told us. He stated the Father would send the Spirit in His name.

“If you love me, keep my commands. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son

But to the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
And:
You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

Hebrews 1:8-10

It was the Son, God the Son who created the heavens and the earth.

It was the Spirit of Christ that spoke through the mouth of the prophets.

Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 1 Peter 1:10-11

The Son always expresses the will of the Father by His word.

The WORD of God expressed the will of the Father through the mouth of the Old Testament prophets.

The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. Zechariah 12:10
