the body
the power of the resurrected body of Christ
The Spirit that was with them before Jesus was crucified and would be in them is a body?? See you make no sense and certainly don't follow the testimony given as the Father will send the Spirit in Jesus's name. As shown from Acts 2 the Spirit Jesus sends He received from the Father. As Jesus stated, "I will ask the Father", and "
He will send you.."
The testimony given is cohesive that The Spirit proceeds from the Father and is poured out through the Son.
Not sure why this matters- I already gave scriptures
He asked the father to restore the Glory that He had with Him before the world begin. What might that mean?
He ascended to where He was before and He was shown to have the Fathers nature in that beginning with the Father as in God was the Logos. He sat down with His Father on His Fathers throne. Sovereign authority.
What His blood/ or other presented to God means for the world is def that we can now have access to the father. It was said somewhere in Hebrews that the earthly symbols were made after the heavenly.
God indeed reconciled all things to "Himself" whether things in heaven or things on earth through Christs blood shed on the cross. Col 1:20
We are given conquering power of Jesus who was God and man. Why? Posible answer. He arose from the dead in bodily form never to die again. This seems like something never done before in the world sense Jesus is the only begotton son. So this is conquering power for our bodies as our hearts are being transformed.
We have the divine nature in us in Jesus's name. The Spirit of truth. The Holy Spirit. Jesus and the believer in Him are One just as He and the Father are one.
So either we get the fullness of Jesus which includes the power of His resurrected body or we don't.
We have been given fullness in Christ. Jesus was given all the fulness of the Deity of the only living unbegotten God the Father. Jesus the only begotten God or only like to like begotten Son of the Father who is before all things except His God and Father and all those things He is before God the Father brought into existence by, through and for Him. The Deity in the Son performing the Fathers works. That eternal life appeared in flesh on earth. The testimony is about Him and this is eternal life that one would come to know the only true God the Father and His Firstborn Son called Jesus Christ.
Col 2:9-10
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the headover every power and authority
So Randy let me see if I understand why you said God is the one that gives the Spirit?
That's what I read. It's very clear to me and is from the testimony of Jesus Himself. Jesus never stated He would send His Spirit or Ghost.
Could it be that He gave His only begotton son to the world to be King as a Gift to men?
its written
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life"
And if the scripture I provided about " He will pour out of His Spirit on all flesh" What is coming out of His Spirit that is to be given as a
gift? The Spirit of Holy Ghost power?
He will pour out His Spirit.
The Fathers promise
this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
So clearly we are in these last days. Added to that God spoke to us in these last days by His Son.
17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out
my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I
will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
We cant forget that that body prepared would be presented as a living sacrafice for the people but unto God. What that means to God only He can reveal.
I have not forgotten Christ's crucification and He purchased me by His blood for God.
So it wasn't merely His Spirit that was with man but His body that God would use. So we have the full form of Jesus in that the power to overcome this flesh, the world, and Satin.
It is written the One in us is greater than the one in the world.
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them,
because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
And isn't that what Jesus did, so that we might too?
Everything is first made through Him as in the beginning. And if its made through Him and He is a gift from the Father, He is given to the world from the father. Why should everyone that believe (continually) in Him not perish? Because God gives those who look to His son and believes the Spirit of victory. Go make disciples of all nations baptizing them surrounding them in God's reality, His name, his presence, teaching them to do all that I commanded you and lo I will be with you until the end. ( my words my thoughts so don't quote )
God gives His Spirit in Jesus name just as Jesus stated. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is the one and same Spirit of truth. In the believer that same one Spirit is in the persona of Christ. The Spirit conveys the presence of Christ in those in the faith.
Yes and who is the Spirit of truth? Is it another manifestation of God from God.
The Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God. The Spirit of truth. sent in Jesus's name. Hence the Spirit of Christ.
Where do the good Spirits proceed from? Recall every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.
The Spirit proceeds from the Father as I read and is poured out through the Son.
How can the Holyghost be the Spirit of truth Jesus conquered the world through obedience to the father.
God was before the world began hence His own Spirit was before Man was created. I don't follow your reasoning. Again the Fathers promise is that He would pour out His Spirit. Jesus stated the Father would send the Spirit in His name. Acts 2 states the Spirit Jesus sent he received from the Father.
These are my thoughts and can be corrected by scripture from those who speak in love. Always willing to learn from those who are also learners.
I don't share your thoughts and beliefs in regard to the Spirit being Jesus's ghost.
