Bible Study John the Baptist ?

as we should first note this was not applied to us and secondly this is what you and others have concluded from what Jesus said - please read again

I'm not sure what you're getting at. What should I read again?

My conclusions are based on the understanding that Jesus is the Word of God. That prophets recieve the word of God to deliever a message from God, and sometimes scripture shows prophets to be filled wiyh the Holy Spirit or a spiritual and miraculous gift. Such as prophesy, healing or strength. And also that prophets recieve a reward for their service. From this I'm assured tgat John is well taken care of.

That's my explaination. Please explain how you think I've applied that to myself or anyone else except John the Baptist. Or what I need to read again to understand better.

Sorry for the long reply.

All you say is true FHG
But wouldn't you say that once the term Christian came into use, we'd also have to call the original 12 Apostles, as well as everyone else who believed Jesus is God, a Christian?

To continue to call them Jews would not properly represent what they believed to be the truth about the Lord.
The first generation of converts were called Jewish Christians, but they still were identified as Christian.

Actually the Jews who accept Jesus as the one and only true Messiah are Christians, but yet separate from the Gentile Christians as the Jews were and still are unto the circumcision as they still practice Judaism and are of the house of Israel through the promised seed of Abraham.

I don't understand how you could think this regarding the Jews.
The Jews who are still practicing Judaism are not Christian.

What do you make of Colossians 3:11 ?
"...there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all." NASB

You are teaching two gospels but that most certainly is not what the Bible teaches. Gal 3:26-28:

26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. (ESV)

I recommend reading all of Gal. 3.

I need to state that a different way. We know by the scripture you gave and that of Galatians 3:26-29 that all who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior are called Christians as the word came to the Jew first then the Gentile, Romans 1:16. What I was trying to bring across is that even though the Jew which has accepted Jesus as Messiah and as the Gentile as being called a Christian still adheres to some of the practices of Judaism like that of Sabbath observance, observance of the Jewish calendar, observance of Jewish laws and customs, circumcision, and synagogue attendance, yet they are Christians. I hope this makes better sense.

Yes. You mean a Messianic Jew. I've known some.
We all know there are churches for this. Jews that come to believe that Jesus is the awaited Messiah but they don't want to give up their cultural customs.

They don't have to:

1 Corinthians 9:20
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
